I ran into the same problem since Wills no longer exists. I was told by several people that the school system itself could provide the transcript. The school system would be Cobb County. My transcript as well as diploma would be on stone tablets in hieroglyphics.

The Christmas wreath goes on the door Thanksgiving night. The flowers and the few decorations, as I get to them. The tree, whenever. For the first year EVER we have bushes out front to decorate. We will probably do those right after Thanksgiving. Our town put up Christmas decorations early last week. So far, we haven't seen any of them on at night, though. I can't wait to go down by the river to see that area and really am looking forward to the lighted boat parade on the river.

Indeed you can. It was excellent advice you gave!!

When we remodeled a house we owned in Austell, we brought the bricks from the chimney to our house in Powder Springs and built a burn pit. We had bricks from several places--the first house I lived in, an old abandoned house we ran across up in north Georgia and a couple of bricks from the still we found on our land in Douglas County. It was nice tying them all to one house. I hope the new owner enjoys the burn pit!

Spoken like someone who has dealt with it. EXCELLENT advice. I especially like the idea of taking photos.

On the topic of greeting cards...

I was going to say Walgreens and I see someone else did. I've never used them but one of my friends has. The quality apparently is very good as is the price. And I still recommend VistaPrint. That's MY opinion. Yours may vary. When I worked in Dallas, we used one of the local printing companies for our Christmas cards. They are no longer in business. We weren't as happy with the other company's work and I started buying the cards at Sams and printing them myself. -
I'll send you a PM with the contact info for who we used to do mold remediation on our house. The price was reasonable.

Disability attorneys are limited in what they can charge. I think the amount is around $5500 and it is paid after you win your case. We just had this conversation in a support group. I can check the amount to make sure of that. Sorry, but I don't know of any attorneys in the area. The one my husband went to years ago was in Rome, I think. It's been a long, long time and I just can't remember.

I can soooooooo relate!! "I'll decide what to do once I get started". -
We are all entitled to our opinions. I had a great result using VistaPrint and have recommended them to everyone I know who was in the market for what they do. Many people I know have gotten items from them and were as pleased as I was. And please tell us the name of your company. I'm sure many people on here won't be dealing with you if you treat your customers as you have me where I have voiced MY opinion about a product mentioned by someone else. I'm sure you can't beat VistaPrint on price. And I'm DAMN sure you can't beat them when it comes to respecting your customer. Obv

We ended up hiring a contractor and remodeling a house because my husband decided to level the bathroom floor. Project took from October 2004 to May 2006 to complete. -
I must be in the 70% group. I have gotten brochures, business cards, t-shirts, pens, signs all from VistaPrint. Couldn't have been happier with their prices or their products.

That should be hung on the wall in my dining room. -
Before the government found a way to get involved, charitable donations were how those who needed help got it. From friends, family members, local churches. My grandparents had little. They were farmers and my grandfather traveled around the state of Georgia doing whatever work he could during the Depression. But they always found ways to help others. A cousin of a cousin of a friend need a place to stay, they had it. Someone passing through needed food, they got it. Same way with virtually everyone in the area. They helped others. I've been involved in several churches that helped

Unemployment is not a government handout. Property taxes go to support the schools, build roads. Granted income taxes help with all of those expenses. Birth control SHOULD be covered by insurance, as should sterilization procedures. What's wrong with that?

Again you make ASSumptions about me.

What gives you the right to tell ME what I think of when I hear "welfare" or "food stamp recipient" or "Medicaid patient"? I think of my 84 year old grandmother in a nursing home thanks to Medicaid. I think of my beautiful granddaughters being able to eat thanks to Food Stamps and being able to be immunized thanks to Medicaid. I think of all those broken, literally in some cases, patients who came through the orthopaedist office where I worked. I think of being able to hold my newborn twin grandsons, in NICU at Cobb thanks to Medicaid. But HOW DARE you tell me what I think of whe

For one summer I did something similar to the love letters to strangers except I left paperback books wherever I went--hotels, restaurant restrooms, rest stops, doctors offices. Always took one to "accidentally" leave behind. Left one in a beach condo that year. The next year I saw it in the rental office library. I thought that was really cool!

Sweden does not allow the advertising of prescription drugs. That right there HAS to help keep the cost of medications down. I seriously doubt they allow lobbyists, which would also keep the governing bodies a bit more "honest". Sweden also has a minimum individual tax rate of 30%. A maximum rate of 57%. Do you really think the majority of US citizens, many of whom pay 0% in taxes, are going to be OK with having to pay 30%? I don't. They want the corporate taxpayers to pick up the majority of the tab, or the wealthy. The problem with what most people on here, and elsewhere, c

Yep, just like I thought. The end user, the taxpayer, picks up the bill.

I have a friend who is now in a nursing home. For the past 2-3 years she has pretty much been home-bound. I'd send her a card just to lift her spirits. She loved getting them. And she's not OLD!! She's younger than I am!

You still have the right to stand your ground in Florida . Florida's stand your ground law will not be changing. A Florida house panel rejected a bill that would have repealed the state's controversial self defense law Thursday night. The Florida law is a model for similar laws in other states and it allows people to use deadly force when they feel their lives are in danger.
