I have a friend who did that. He was the one who was the dealer I referred to earlier. He went off drugs cold turkey. He was in his mid 30s at the time and had been using since high school. He just turned 60 the other day and is clean. His wife smokes pot but he said he hasn't had any in probably 25 years. He was using and dealing hard stuff--coke, heroin, speed--as well as pot and hash. He said as bad as withdrawal was he thinks about that when the urge to do drugs occurs (and he says that it has, particularly when he's stressed). He moved away from the people he was getting stoned wi -

If they don't have insurance, it's a cinch that they wouldn't be in pain management to start with. We were paying out of pocket for some of the pain management visits. It was $120 a visit. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago, we got $120 back from the first clinic my husband went to. Apparently they finally realized that it was their fault that they didn't get pre-cert for his visits when they charged us for them. He ended up having to change clinics to one that was in-network because the first clinic charged us full price for the visits. If the visits are $250 now, they have gone u -

If you can afford the drugs, you can afford the help to get off them. If you're in pain management, they will help you get off the drugs. They have signs and brochures for treatment centers in every PM office. My daughter works in a drug treatment center. Most of their patients are covered by insurance through the military. The remainder through their health insurance. -
Tax Question for folks who have/had a child in college
Mama Carol replied to kcarlsonlpn's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Oh, gosh that ACA stuff is awful. I did a 4 hour CE course on it and still had a lot of problems figuring out how to do the first return with it on there. By the time I finished it I wasn't sure I wanted to do tax prep any longer. But I agreed to work through April 15, so work through that day I'll do. Miss you and the whole gang, Barbed Wire. Make sure those machines are being well cared for, too. They were like our babies. -

Sounds like you have it figured out. Yep, it is convoluted. It's confusing. But yes, a child in college can (and usually should) be claimed as a dependent. -
We got mail AND a phone call for someone we had never heard of, from a hospital in Albany, GA. I simply explained to the person who called that nobody by that name had ever lived here, they said they would take care of it. That was in late 2013. Haven't heard anything since. You might call the billing department at Wellstar and let them know you're getting the mail and it doesn't go to you. Along that line, my son in law got a phone call a while back reminding him of his obstetrical appointment.

I had probably 20 job interviews for jobs posted on Craigslist when we lived in Powder Springs. Hubby went with me to one of them because I was unsure of the area and the person I would be interviewing with. I took my pepper spray and cell phone in with me on another one. Other than those two, I was completely comfortable with them. My current job was a posting on Craigslist. We sold a wood burning stove, a trailer and some exercise equipment on CL and I know people who have bought a lot of things on there, without a single problem.

That's why we would like to shoot it.

Those things are disgusting. The smell is horrendous. We have LOTS of them. There's one in the neighborhood we would like to shoot.

Cute is what he/she is! I want one.

But they did use photos of women and children from what I understand about the reality of the situation. I'm pretty sure that target training for LEOs have included "criminal looking" people as well as innocent looking people for years. The target we used in our firearms safety class could have been whoever you projected it to be. Your ex, even.

Beer suggestions for Chili recipe (in the chili, not with it)

FYI, that's a good drinking beer, too. And goes great with chicken and sausage gumbo. -

I used a Belgian white beer in my fish batter. Shock Top, I think. Very good taste. And yes, you can buy it as a single for around $2 a bottle. My physical therapy center had a chili cook-off a few months ago. One of the PTs brought a pumpkin beer chili. He said he actually put pumpkin beer and a can of pumpkin in it. It was awesome. He won second place with it. And no, nobody knew who made what chili except the receptionist and the person who made the chili and she didn't get to vote. I like the idea of the Guinness in the beer. I'll have to give that a try. -
Why is this news? How are people impacted by this? Ask yourself, is YOUR life different because of it? Is your neighbor's life? Are the lives of law abiding citizens in North Miami impacted by it? Why should this even be an issue up for discussion? I can just imagine the outcry if they had used random photos of women, children, Muslims, Jews, gays, Hispanics. But hey, let's have diversity in TARGETS used for target practice.

Thanks. I'll pass that along to her. She had questions about them, especially since she doesn't live in the Atlanta area.
