I need to memorize this: http://anddrum.com/ Tina Drummond. She's a commerce member on here and also known as Barbed Wire. 770-505-0370

I seriously doubt she found out from others. The only other people she has as friends I have things hidden from as well. I guess she just thought I wasn't being silent. If she thought I was on there trashing her or her mom, she got a rude awakening. I save that discussion for Pcom.

FB isn't the drama. It's the people who create the drama. I'm sure there are bad stories about consequences of jobs, class reunions, church, etc. It's what you make it. If you're in a marriage that's in trouble, NONE of these things might make it better and none of them might make it worse. I believe far too many people take far too many things far too seriously.

True story. I had sent a friend request to my sister in law because I thought it was the "neighborly" thing to do. Y'know, TRY to make amends even though hubby and I are not in the wrong in the family relationship. She rejected it. I sent it again. She rejected it. I sent it again. She messaged me that she didn't think it was "appropriate" for us to be FB friends because of the horrible way hubby and I had treated their mom. Keep in mind, this is the woman who ALLOWED my father in law to molest my three daughters, my sister in law, my sister in law's best friend and an untold number of

Kinda makes me glad I use Chrome. I don't have problems with add-ons or other search engines wanting to load. I specified Google and by golly, that's what comes up. Especially since I go to the .....oh, the name escapes me now--the little place where you type in the website URL--and type in "google". I really shouldn't try to post after getting practically no sleep last night and then a stress doctor's appointment this morning.

It may have changed since hubby was on work comp the last time in 2000, but I don't think you get that 21 days of work comp. It usually is retroactive to the day you were eligible though. That, of course, would be 21 days after the injury/illness was reported. IOW, if you don't file until day 35, you get days 21 through 35 but not days 1-20.

I kept accidently unfriending several people until I figured out why. Turned out that FB was unfriending them when I deleted the list I had them on. Now that I've got that figured out, I haven't had the problem. But really. If someone wants to unfriend me, it doesn't bother me a bit. I have some people on my "tell-all" list and everyone else is on my "tell-nothing" list. I leave everyone on the "tell-nothing" list until they send me a message that they can't post on my wall or see my status updates and then they go on the other list.

I've lived near Powder Springs since 1978 so imagine my surprise when someone asked me about a particular section of downtown and called it by the "community" name. I'd never heard it called that before. I've heard of the Pittsburgh area of Atlanta but can't give a description of where it is located. My dad and my brother in law both worked in Atlanta for years so I was familiar with all the "community" names--Bellwood, Bolton, West End, Cabbagetown, etc.

Whew!! I thought it was just me. Hey, maybe we need to have a meeting of Cynics International, Pcom chapter.

call me a skeptic and cynical but that guy sure did heal fast from that beating. He was beaten, what, last Saturday and in a press conference on, what, Wednesday he didn't so much as have a visible bruise, scratch, cut or anything. Not saying it didn't happen but one has to wonder about it. I wish I healed that fast.

you might need to make changes to the default search engine. Not sure how to do this without doing it, so I really can't help you. I *THINK* you have to go to system defaults in Windows.

Talking to kids about family history of disease.
Mama Carol replied to jennilyn77's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I remember in my early teens being worried if I, or my parents, might die from cancer. My dad did die from liver and pancreatic cancer when I was 19. On the very next visit I made to the doctor he said "you have an increased risk for liver and pancreatic cancer now". In the mid-1970s, there wasn't really any genetic testing or evidence that cancers could be hereditary. When I was diagnosed with hemochromatosis in my mid-30s, the family history made sense finally. Hemochromatosis is linked very strongly to liver and pancreatic cancer as well as Hodgkins and other lymphomas. I had an uncle -
What Online FREE Tax Preparation Site Do You Recommend?
Mama Carol replied to mom2dachs's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The thing that you have to remember about tax software is ANY of them will get you the refund you're due or come up with the amount you owe. If you have X amount of income, Y amount of deductions, Q amount of tax payments (through withholding or estimated payments OR earned income credit) you get Z amount of refund or owe Z amount. This should not vary depending upon program used. They all have to be accepted through the IRS and that really isn't based on software program, so you're not likely going to have it accepted earlier because you use Brand A software over Brand B. Refunds, too, -
Once we're finished with our trips this winter, I'll have you clean it again. Lord knows it needs it. That first trip really was rough on it, but it rained almost all the way.

Question for those who have degenatrive bone disease
Mama Carol replied to Spunkywman's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That is very true. Prevention is generally not covered by insurance, so therefore preventive measures are generally not used. It's a shame, too. -
Can't wait for you to clean up my car again.

Man, I HATE those controlled burns. But they do serve a wonderful purpose in lessening the chance of a forest fire.

Talking to kids about family history of disease.
Mama Carol replied to jennilyn77's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think I found out about the strong family history of cancer when I was about 12 or 13. Of course, things were a lot different back then in that there was no strong suggestion of a family connection--just that a LOT of people in my family died from cancer. Depending on the genetic disease, you may want to tell them earlier. Many genetic disorders, such as the one I have, can be minimized or even avoid ever developing full blown symptoms if you know at a young age what to avoid or what to do. I just wish I had known when I was in my late teens and early 20s that iron was poisoning me. -
Yep, Marc is an honest man. And a very nice guy. BTW, Marc, it was nice having lunch with you today.

Then there is Austell Intermediate School. That has a Powder Springs address. And is located within the city limits of AUSTELL. Talk about corn-fusing.

Welcome Britiani!! I've seen you in the store before. In fact, I think you were there a few months back, during the summer, when I came by to see Susan. I'm VERY happy for you! I'll try to drop by one day and introduce myself. Hmmmmmmmm. A love of books? You, too????????

We can only hope. That would cut my drive to Florida in half since we wouldn't be stopping in Auburn at the adult toy store. I missed them so much I didn't know there was still a Fred's in Dallas!
