  1. You know for a fact that he was in his vehicle in the beginning? Do share that information.
  2. Once you figured out how and where to do it, it WAS easy. Figuring out how and where was tough. Glad yours came back OK, too.
  3. Depends on which version of the story you believe. Early on I heard it reported, and again later heard it reported, that he was going to his vehicle when Trayvon attacked him. And as several others in previous threads have mentioned, the dispatcher is not the authority. You are free to do what you feel is best under the circumstances. I guess if Zimmerman was getting the snot beat out of him, he felt it might not be best to wait for the police to handle it.
  4. Had the trouble makers stayed out of it, there would be a lot less speculation. From all appearances (and that includes the primarily police reports) it WAS handled properly from the outset. Any reasonable person would feel that with a person who has obvious injuries claiming self defense, no charges should be filed if everything else is legit. If Zimmerman was in lawful possession of the firearm, which he apparently was, he would have been well within his rights IN ANY STATE to protect himself with it.
  5. Not easy to click through everything to find where to check your computer! Mine came back clean. Maybe because PCs are not the only ones that could be infected.
  6. I have no use for Walmart. Granted, I do shop there about once a month but I only do it because I buy the items we use regularly and that they have at a better price than I can find elsewhere. I have had no use for them since they hired my daughter on a part-time basis (about 24 hours a week) and she NEVER worked fewer than 44 hours a week. And they way they did their pay periods, she never got overtime for those 4 hours a week.
  7. You're very right. I remember being on a local interest board, or four, on Prodigy but none of them were locally owned or operated. What you did was innovative. :good: I, for one, am very thankful that you did that. I know a few people consider me certifiable as well, not just because I'm in business for myself.
  8. well, though who know me--judges??? Do I border on crazy or have I crossed that border????
  9. At least he expressed his condolences. The person who killed a friend of mine never apologized or showed any emotion.
  10. I knew him on a professional basis only but well enough to know he's a nice guy. I left that job over 2 years ago though and haven't had any contact with him since. I was hoping that by posting here someone might take the hint.
  11. I never said the owner of the business was a friend, merely that I know him. And for all I know, it could have been him driving.
  12. if you're going to drive like an idiot, flying past everyone else on 278 near the railyard, weaving in and out of traffic you might consider taking the sign off the car that says "**** Automotive". This is not a rant or a vent, just a public service annoucement. The sad thing is the **** Automotive owner is a really nice guy. I know him. But after seeing this car (and the black Beemer that seemed to be traveling with this particular black convertible) I'm not sure I'd want to do business with him.
  13. surely I am not the only one who felt they arrested Zimmerman to stop the complete and total destruction of their town by protesters.
  14. Well, the word "following" means behind. You generally don't get injured on the back side of your body from being behind someone. To be injured by someone else to the back side of your body, they would have to be IN FRONT OF YOU with you between them and another object or person or behind you. Both pretty much rule out that HE was BEHIND Trayvon when he fired. Well, that and the fact that Trayvon was shot in the abdomen and not the upper chest or back.
  15. Yep, you definitely get something like that from FOLLOWING someone.
  16. If you're at the Northwest Georgia whatever, outpatient surgery thingie, they are WONDERFUL! I've been there twice and was very impressed with the care I was given. My second surgery took about 15 minutes and I think we were only there about an hour and a half total.
  17. And did you wave to me??? Noooooooooooooooo. OK, so I wasn't AT the Kroger that early, but it's only a mile from my house. You could wave.
  18. Combine that self employment with being over 40 and that's almost a sure-fire way NOT to get hired. I agree with you, too!! The start up cost for my business was under $25.
  19. If the economy were better, I probably wouldn't be where I am and doing what I'm doing. And I mean no offense to you Pubby (or my other clients who might read this) because I LOVE what I do. I just probably wouldn't be doing it with a better economy. I'd still be where I was in October 2009. Though, to be honest, I'm happy to be where I am. I have met and worked with some really awesome people, and I would not have done that if I had stayed where I was. A GOOD job is hard to come by today, if you don't already have one. If you do have one, pray that it isn't tied anyway to the
  20. We get 72 channels with an antenna. We have deleted a lot of them because we don't care for the Spanish language channels or the shopping/informercial channels.
  21. That would be your best bet, much better than 75 or Cobb Pkwy. Other than all the freaking traffic lights, it should be an easy drive. When I had surgery over there, before the connector was even considered, we hit Windy Hill Rd at Austell Rd and went to the hospital that way. Both times, my surgery was in the afternoon, so I can't tell you about morning traffic. I do know that the evening rush hours are horrible! The main congested areas will be where it crosses Austell Rd, South Cobb Dr and Atlanta Rd.
