Garbage truck takes out south Paulding home
Mama Carol replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Sure they do. It's just that it's probably minimal coverage. Liability insurance is quite expensive. -

Place the blame CLEARLY where it belongs. That idiot who decided to turn this into a pool party with admission fee! If not for her NONE, AND I MEAN NONE, of this would have happened. So, Pubby, are you saying the residents were WRONG to call the cops? I would love to see someone set up a party at Pcom and start charging admission and then treat Pubby like he had no rights. Let them start hauling out the office furniture, computers, cameras, etc. Cursing Pubby as they went. You wanna guess what he would be doing? Calling the cops, I'm sure. After all, he worked for that stuff

Thanks. I haven't kept up with the players in this and didn't know if she was or not. She should be held responsible, IMO, as she broke the rules by inviting more than the HOA allowed. And we know how HOAs are.
-
Let's place the blame where it clearly lies. If the person having the party had followed the HOA rules NONE of this would have happened. The rules said 2 guests per resident. Was the 20 year old who started the idea of charging for admission a resident?

I hope everyone involved who was breaking the law is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Everyone.

Hunt's Ketchup. Generic mustard and particularly like the spicy brown generic I get from Winn Dixie.

what or where is an interesting local motorcycle ride
Mama Carol replied to nschur's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Never did it on a motorcycle but one of my hubby's and my favorite rides was up through Rockmart, over to Piedmont and then over to Ft Payne and back down through Rome. The one major ride we did on a motorcycle was Highway 60, like Lowrider was talking about. Through Dahlonega, Helen, Cleveland, Mineral Bluff and all through north Georgia. It's be so many years ago I don't remember the exact route. I remember meeting the others who were going to ride at the Waffle House in Cartersville. I was about 4 1/2 months pregnant. She will be 35 in October, so it's been a long, long time. -

The thing about open carry is you don't have to wonder if someone is packing heat. -
I've appealed three assessments. Won the last two of them. The first one I was totally unprepared and lost. At the last one, we took pictures to show what the area looked like with the *lovely* blue industrial building on the opposite corner, the envelope company just up the street, the chemical plant down the street and the railroad tracks just on the other side of the two lane road. Won that appeal and they actually reduced the value to less than we were asking for. And mailed us the decision the next day.

Wow. We don't even have security at our tag office. You walk in, register, wait for your number to be called, get your tag and you're gone. Generally 5 minutes. Then again, our tag office isn't at the courthouse. They are about 2 miles apart. I've never been in the courthouse. I need to go one day just to see what it's like. I went to the Douglas County courthouse one time, not long after the new courthouse was opened. When they put my purse through the security screener, they saw something they wanted to take a better look at because they couldn't tell what it was and I had no c -
I think we bought the one we used in our utility room at Home Depot. Probably the one in Powder Springs and not the one in Austell. Pretty sure we didn't go to Lowe's as it was a last minute job (water heater started leaking and decided to replace the decades old vinyl that was in there).

I really enjoyed their comedy.

My dentist set me up an appointment with an oral surgeon. After the consult with the oral surgeon, I'll go to an ENT to have something done unless it's something they can do in the office that day. Neither I nor the dentist are sure the duct is blocked. She said it seems like a mass that is soft and movable. And I swear it gets smaller at times.

Mine is in the roof of my mouth. I've noticed the last few days that it has times that it is larger and then times that it is smaller. I got the sour candy but don't think that has anything to do with it.

DEA raids clinics, pharmacies in 'pill mill' crackdown
Mama Carol replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Obviously your paternal aunt doesn't know about the cash only pill mill in eastern TN. Pretty sure it hasn't been shut down. I had to just shake my head about the interviews the news media did with "patients" from this one place in Mobile. One lady said one of these doctors started her on morphine and two other pain killers when she didn't need them. She was back there yesterday for a scheduled visit and found the place had been shut down. She didn't say she didn't have the prescriptions filled or that she didn't take them or even that she left that practice because of the drugs they p -

There was a raid at a pill mill in Mobile, AL as well. I think I heard them say on the news that one of the two doctors was arrested in Georgia.
