Being Bullied Leads to Allergies and Being Overweight
Mama Carol replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Funny. In my case, I was bullied because I had allergies and was overweight. Not the other way around. -
Anything Joe's.

Amen!! And everyone at Pcom works hard. Merry Christmas!!

I haven't seen anyone suggest otherwise. Have you??? It's foolish, or as the Brits might say, it's "bloody folly" to think that just because there is a law against something it magically makes it disappear because EVERYONE obeys the law.
-
Laws have not stopped it nor do they prevent it. Even the threat of punishment for breaking the law doesn't do anything.

That's awesome!! I thank FB for that. To be honest, I was shocked. I've only dealt with Paulding the last years. After I waited over 2 hours for a mammogram at Cobb about 15 years ago I started going to Paulding Hospital and then Paulding Imaging and have been more than happy with them. Never had a bad experience with Cobb EVER, going back to the early days of the hospital. But had not even set foot in Kennestone in decades. I know people who go to Northside to avoid going to Kennestone so I was pleasantly surprised there. Oh, and I requested an itemized bill and got one!

I've been reading so many negative threads that I'm just really bummed out. It's Christmas. Let's be nice to each other. Let's post to show our appreciation to someone or for a business where you actually had a good experience. I'll start. My husband had to go the emergency room at Cobb on December 5. From the person at the sign in desk to the tech who showed us out, EVERYONE was incredibly helpful and nice. Nobody was rushed, everyone wanted to make sure we were both taken care of. They really went above and beyond, IMO. The next morning he was scheduled for outpatient

Cub Scouts share Seasons Greetings from Pcom Studio
Mama Carol replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
You told me about them coming for a visit. Looks like they had a great time. I know you had a good time showing them around. Merry Christmas Pubby! -
Christmas has not and never will be the same since 2001. While I love my little granddaughters with all my heart, I can't help but think every year that it would have been the twins' whatever birthday. They would have been 11 a few weeks ago. Christmas just will never again be Christmas.

Does that make us safer? That just means that lunatics can buy whatever they want without having to worry about pesky background checks or tracking of their purchase.

Bullet proof glass. No exceptions. Double entry doors with the set that's more inside unable to open except when the outer ones are operated properly OR from the inside such as when a panic alarm is used (that would keep the kids safe during fire and they would be able to exit). At least one teacher per hall who is armed. Don't force any of them to be but ask for volunteers. If they all want to be armed, let them be. As the brother of a Columbine victim said when interviewed right after Newtown, we have armed guards in banks protecting our money. Is our money really more valu

I don't believe anyone who has any connection to law enforcement is for gun control of any kind. They know that the "bad guys" are going to have guns anyway and that the only way for others to have a fighting chance is to have one, too. I guess that's why my dad taught me at an early age how to shoot. I come from a long line of law enforcement officers, going back at least three generations.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you have lost friends or family due to a "bad guy with a gun"? I have. One friend, age 18 or 19, shot in the back after being kidnapped at gunpoint during a robbery. Left behind a father and a couple of siblings. I'm sure the killers used legally obtained firearms. Yeah, right. Another friend, age 22, a police officer shot twice in the head and once in the chest, by a burglar. Left behind parents and a brother. I'm sure the killer used a legally obtained firearm. Sure he did. He was a career criminal. He would have had a firearm one w

What would help prevent the drowning would be education about how to stay safe around the water. Same thing applies to guns.

The year my dad passed away, I also lost one of my brothers a few months later. Two very vital members of the family were noticeably absent on Christmas morning. It was a very rough year. My dad loved Christmas so it just did not seem the same without him. Fortunately, I had been taken in by a very loud, loving, happy family of parents, their four children and one daughter in law. They treated me like one of the kids. Completely treated me like one of the kids! I got lectured by the dad as if he were my dad. More than once! If it had not been for that family, I would have been comple

My former boss showed a photo of one of his very favorite clients. I think it was a .357 she was holding. Hard to see for the knockers. Little wonder he loved visiting that client. Damn, she was nice looking! I think she has had her picture in various magazines. I know the picture he showed me of her was from a trade magazine (she was a tattoo artist, as was her husband who was rather imposing with his 6 ft 4 in height and the .357 strapped to his side). Oh, and nothing in the least butch about her. If there had been, my former boss wouldn't have given her a second glance.

Better price than the Ruger I've been lusting after. That right there is a lot going for it! I'll check to see if any place locally has one.

With arthritis in my right hand, wrist and most of the fingers on that hand, I have to get one that doesn't take a lot of pull to shoot and one that isn't very heavy. Also, can't have one with a lot of recoil. Thanks! LOVE TO!! My then-boyfriend who was in the Army recited that to me back in 1974. To this day I HAVE to call it a PISTOL or a FIREARM. I don't want him to get on to me for calling it a gun.

We ARE discussing American made products. Ruger, Kel-Tec, HiPoint, Kahr, Kimber, Smith & Wesson, Colt, Remington and Mossberg are just SOME of the firearms made in the US. Buy American. Buy a Ruger.

What about recoil on the Bersa?
-
That's what I'm thinking, too. Mmmmmm. Lucky Charms.

I'm not a fan of a plastic gun either. I want a stainless steel Ruger.
