  1. Let me which one you go to. I'm looking to do a class in the near future.
  2. Hubby's Medicare went up 6%. Hubby's prescription plan went up 25% and my insurance went up 13%. Our income went up 1.7% thanks to a Social Security raise. My income is a little more difficult to increase at this time.
  3. Wild West Traders has it. Wild West is on Austell Road with a Marietta address. Not difficult to find. http://www.wwtguns.com/ Stoddards does. On Veteran's Memorial Highway in Douglasville. Probably closer to New Georgia than Wild West. http://stoddardsguns.com/classes/basic-handgun
  4. I saw it as a simple question. What IS bullying? Let's get a definition and then we can discuss the article and ways to stop it.
  5. Does it look fresh? There was a fatal accident there a couple of years ago.
  6. Which part of Poplar Springs? Between Macland and 278 or other end?
  7. It's a shame that alledged adults can't discuss first the definition of something and then discuss ways to combat it without resorting to name calling.
  8. It depends on what I'm being thanked for. Sometimes, I just shrug. It really wasn't a big deal. Most of the time I say "you're welcome. Happy to have helped".
  9. But that is not what the article says nor what you posted as the topic title.
  10. You REALLY should read the article. It does NOT mention adult allergies. It does NOT say that bullying causes allergies or overweight.
  11. The more I read of this and what former member insists the article says, the more I realize that former member reminds me very much of a former office manager of mine. She couldn't admit when she made a mistake either.
  12. Actually, if you have allergies as a child, you do tend to outgrow them and don't have the same allergies as an adult. If you develop allergies as an adult, they are generally more severe and you don't outgrow them. If one did not "outgrow" allergies, there would be no point to desensitization injections. My sister and I are proof of those two facts. I have no problems with anything I was allergic to as a child with the exception of cat hair. I can eat chocolate all the time if I want. I can drink milk. I can eat eggs. I can be around pine pollen. I can lie in the grass. VIRTUALL
  13. Nope, it wasn't. This was the headline: Allergies, extra weight tied to bullying This was the first paragraph: Kids who have food allergies or are overweight may be especially likely to get bullied by their peers, two new studies suggest. quote name='former member' timestamp='1356488256' post='3742513'] Are you saying Fox News was wrong? After all, that was the headline.
  14. I think the study's authors are dead on. They aren't the ones, nor is Fox News, the one who said being bullied leads to allergies and being overweight. YOU DID. They said this: Kids who have food allergies or are overweight may be especially likely to get bullied by their peers, two new studies suggest. And again NOWHERE in the article did it say being bullied leads to having allergies or being overweight. It says having allergies (as in a disability) or being overweight (also as in a disability) makes one more vulnerable to being bullied. I agree with them 1001%. I had numerous seve
  15. The fact of the matter is the topic title is: Being Bullied Leads to Allergies and Being Overweight But yet, the article does not say that. It says quite the opposite. It does not describe what bullying is. And all former member can do is say "read the article" or "contact the authors".
  16. reasonable people can also read that article and see that NOWHERE in it does it explain what bullying is. Nowhere. Trust me, those of us who have been bullied have no problem knowing what it is. Those who bullied probably don't have a clue.
  17. Nah. No use. You'd probably be given former member's e-mail.
  18. Thank goodness it wasn't just me who saw it was a POS article that really said n-o-t-h-i-n-g.
  19. Now that I've read the article, I am positive it is former member who has the reading comprehension problem. The article does not state that being bullied leads to allergies and being overweight but that being overweight or having allergies leads to being bullied.
  20. I thought we were supposed to post within the initial posting SOMETHING from the article we link to. Was I wrong about that? Wouldn't a DEFINITION of bullying been a great thing to post?
  21. How is the subject to be discussed if there is no definitive definition GIVEN HERE? No kidding? A variety of things, huh? Same could be said for what I do. I know few people whose jobs involve just one thing but even fewer whose job involves EVERYTHING imaginable. God and that's about it.
  22. Baby Cookie asked for a definition of "bullying" not e-mail contacts for doctors in Boston. Perhaps it is not BC who cannot read, does not understand and is incapable of understanding a simple request. I see no "defending a position" needing to be done by BC. She/he asked for something and you chimed in with e-mail contacts which was NOT what she/he asked for. So exactly what all do you encounter in your daily job? Seems like that is something like responsibility #1245. Or #12,450. I've lost count how many things you say you deal with every day.
