  1. 92 to 120 in the am and after work is a very slow drive. Chester is correct, in that you really should drive it to get a real feel for the traffic. I don't want to hurt anyone's feeling, so I won't suggest where NOT to look. I prefer the north side of Paulding, myself.
  2. IMHO a burger should be made as follows... top bun, mayo, tomato, onion, lettuce, cheese, burger, mustard, bottom bun. Hubby would say.... top bun, ketchup, tomato, onion, lettuce, cheese, burger, mustard, bottom bun I am not a big fan of ketchup unless it is on fries or corn dogs.
  3. I need to add a couple more.... Anything we smoke (ribs, roast... anything pork) here at home. RM grilled salmon once. I am not a fan of salmon but I ate mine and a friends because it was so good!!!
  4. Kids learn a lot from us parents / Grandparents. Y'all have done a darned good job with yours!!
  5. hmmmm... this is a hard one for me cuz I love food. cream horns - Honeymoon Bakery in Rome Chicken Marsala - Carrabba's Charbroiled Oysters - Drago's (New Orleans) Mama's dressing and gravy
  6. She has AWESOME parents and FANTASTIC Grandparents! Her Aunt and Uncle are pretty darned special, too!! The whole family, well, they just ROCK!!!
  7. Great news!! It will help her so much now that y'all finally got a diagnosis!!!
  8. Either Tuna Salad sammichs or chicken and grilled red bells over brown rice. Depends on what happens later in the day....
  9. I was appalled when I saw you do that!! Still am.
  10. That makes me very sad. I always thought she was just a really sweet and VERY HOT gal.
  11. Charlize Theron is not even close to being added to this list. What did she do to deserve it, RhondaW? She is my girl crush.
  12. I agree with RM (you responded to her post above). It is only 3 freaking weeks. Candy opened the lines of communication and explained a few things. Mom was fine with that. Personally, I would choose my Mom over a man any day of the week. My husband understands and SUPPORTS me on that.
  13. I read this thread this morning and it pissed me off. So, I walked away. Came back tonight to reply and saw this response. ohmygosh- I feel ya! I lost my Mom 8 years ago. What I would give to have her around to "irritate" me and my husband. They got along so that wouldn't happen, but still. To the OP, I am glad you were able to talk to your Mom and open the lines on communication. In my opinion, your husband needs to get a grip. Mom won't be there forever and you need to have as many moments with her that you can get.
  14. You gotta laugh at this one. I mean, really- you gotta laugh. i hope I can still do this... ok- i can't post a video anymore.
  15. My opinion? Class. AND if you are truely "serving God" why would you need to be on TLC on a housewife type show? You wouldn't. Again, my opinion.
  16. Very well said and I agree with each and every word.

    Trees

I believe she is talking about her Christmas Tree.
  18. We went to Rodney's. Had all of the "Proper" Southern New Year's Day foods, more food and great company. It was served 'family' style and they served then cleaned up. We are home and relaxing. No fuss, no muss!
  19. THE FEAST WAS FANTASTICALLY AND WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS!!! I hope they do this every year because I plan to be there. I love the idea of a family style dinner. We had wonderful company while eating and everyone of us chatted the hour away. THANKS RODNEY'S!!!!!!!!!!
  20. We always had guns, including BB guns. Daddy taught us the correct way to handle (NEVER point at anyone for any reason) so we never thought too much about them. If every household was taught this, I believe kids would respect them. We have them now.
  21. I just registered! Looking forward to some yummies!!!!
