Being at the competitions - many bands are "show" bands. Hillgrove High is another PHENOMENAL band although you can't see alot from this video. Their outfits are beautiful - it's swan lake. Another one did a circus show that was wonderful! There was one of the bands with 15 pool tables - mock ups of course - but many of us didn't care for their show. I guess to compete, they're all ramping it up. There's one from Stone Mountain - their band will blow you away - their color guard on the other hand - is a dance team & they are "RISQUE"!!! for high school. Stephens

Are you talking about Osborne High from Cobb County? My son is in a marching band, too....Many of the bands have parents who film them at competitions & some of their half time presentations and post to youtube or their band websites. I saw Osborne at the McEachern Invitational & at another competition this year....here's one of their performances from October.

Mom had hers out in March. Went in at 7 - was home at 2 - said she felt better immediately. Was raking the yard & picking up pine cones & sticks in about 2 weeks & hasn't looked back! Good Luck! I may be joining you soon!

Yep, hubby turned in his "antique" tag....said you could see the car was an antique, so, why pay the extra fee.

My dog's feet do too....my vet said it is a buildup of bacteria with a long name or can be a yeast infection or sometimes an allergy. It comes & goes.....

The Outsiders, S. E. Hinton! My favorite book when I was about 11. My mother actually kept it and gave it to my son recently. It was a gift to me from my aunt at Christmas. I'd read it so many times that I could still - at age 48 - quote the first page to my son. The name was DARRY - short for Darrel (yes, that was the spelling - lol) In an interview in the 70's, S. E. Hinton said she tried to use unusual names because everything was Alice, Mary Jane - what she considered plain names. (S. E. Hinton was actually Susan Eloise and there weren't many women writing best sellers, so she us

When we're with our friends who also have only boys - we have - Ian, Jon & Sean. We've explained to them that they all actually have the same name! I think those are the traditional "English" spellings.

I agree with alot of the above statements. For example, just found out today that a child I've called Katlin for 19 years is actually Katherine Linda. And, I know 5 of those names - Caitlin, Kaitlin, Katlin, Caitlyn & Katelynn. Try to keep those straight on birthday cards!! I like a lot of the "old" names that are coming back - but, I swear, I hope we're at the end of "Isabella"......there were 6 in a group we were in &, since Twilight, there a bajillion!

Since this has happened, video of other reporters are beginning to surface. The worst one so far - imho - is Nina Totenberg back a few years ago saying that Jesse Helms should be worried "if the Good Lord has retributive justice he'll get aids from a transfusion or one of his grandchildren will get it."

Just got it for the first time ever - an advisory from Google.

Solved one of these back years ago where I worked. Three of us loved 1/2 & 1/2 or other creamers in our coffee & since the fridge was small, we'd bring it in small containers to share - with the 3 of our names on it - and, after a while with freezer tape marked private do not use. (The office had the powdered stuff) We KNEW which of the men (supervisor) was using it - we'd not caught him, but, we'd walk in as he was closing the fridge & the container would be moved. Anyway, one of the women who was back at work after having a baby said she'd solve it. So, she told us to take o

I wonder if she would have been reported if she'd put something else. My outrage comes from not being able to ask for a roommate in your own home that meets your criteria. So, what if she doesn't want to rent to a man and had put Female Roommate wanted? My first reaction was to that - can she not specify - my second reaction was to the Christian aspect.

I'm beginning to think that bashing Christianity is becoming a national pastime. This is just too much. My link The ad "expresses an illegal preference for a Christian roommate, thus excluding people of other faiths,” according to the complaint filed by the Fair Housing Center of West Michigan. "It's a violation to make, print or publish a discriminatory statement," Executive Director Nancy Haynes told Fox News. "There are no exemptions to that."

I used to listen to NPR - had no choice - my boss had it on in his office. George Soros is the one who has recently given a ton of money - but, he's giving a ton of money to most any extreme liberal cause out there so I'm not surprised. It's his billions - he can spend it how he likes, but, his & others spending has caused me to begin to research where money comes from prior to receiving my support. In recent years, I find NPR to be like all other media. They've chosen a side - liberal or conservative - and they only present that side. I was shocked at watching video (an

We must be twins.....exact same rules. I login as my son because when you post you can say only people on certain lists or just my friends can see it. I want to see exactly what my son is seeing. You are exactly correct. I have "lists" & I block certain people from seeing certain things.

You are so right!!! My link Read this a few years ago....it came true.

I looked just to see what she looked like these days......she looked botoxed - her expressions - the only thing that moved were her lips & eyebrows.

I LOVE raw potatoes.....makes my family crazy. Mom said she took me to the doctor when I was little because I liked all my veggies raw - even corn. My Granny fed them to me that way.
-
There's no voucher specific to "potatoes" - that's covered as a vegetable. You can look at the list WIC covers, but, that wasn't my point. I don't care who pays for the food - i don't want government telling me what I can or can't feed my child. I'm sure that being on a tight budget or needing assistance comes into play because potatoes are relatively inexpensive & can be cooked in so many ways.
-
My link With that in mind, the Institute of Medicine, the health arm of the National Academy of Sciences, recommended that the U.S. Department of Agriculture stop participants of the federal Women, Infants and Children program, known as WIC, from buying potatoes with federal dollars. The institute also called for the USDA-backed school lunch program to limit use of potatoes. Under an interim rule, the USDA agreed to bar WIC participants from buying potatoes with their federal dollars. Potatoes are the only vegetable not allowed. Next year, the agency will roll out a final rule on the W

Just doing it the same way my momma did Nope....don't want the world to see me in my true "real housewife" cleaning mode. It's usually not a pretty sight! Ponytail on top of the head & old tattered sweats with bleach spots (don't want to ruin the "good" sweats, dontchaknow! ) That's why the shower is last on my list, so I can look a little bit like the "lady of the house" & not the maid. LOL
-
I agree on the REAL housewives - only, in my case, I'm certain that cleaning the shower in the nude (then taking a shower) would get me kicked off! I do wonder why these shows continue to even PRETEND that these women are housewives.

I figure I "make" whatever I can save per grocery shopping/sales on clothes, etc. And, I earn "hugs" from hubby & my kiddo. Of course, there is the occasional "tip" from the change/cash found in the dryer (rule is - it's mine if I find it in MY laundry room - lol) Did a "google search" and found this from May of 2009: The Real Housewives of New York City received a giant pay raise for their second season from $5,000 to $50,000 an episode. And this from November of 2009: Kandi Burruss also revealed that Bravo is currently negotiating with all five ladies for season three.
