Rim Shot! No pun intended.

Friday I have the honor of helping to cook for and serve a company of Vietnam helicopter pilots and crew members that will be gathering at my uncle's home for a reunion. I have been looking forward to this for sometime. These are MY heroes. Even in the toughest of places it is human nature to find a way to relieve stress. Here is an article written by one of the guys. Hope you enjoy. Amid the hard times of wars can be found times punctuated with extreme laughter and just plain fun. Military service has always been a “Hurry Up And Wait” kind of thing and the”Wait” part lends itsel

I am a 68er and proud of it! I cut firewood and heat with firewood almost exclusively to justify (to myself) keeping the house 68 in the summer. I also produce enough condensation to keep my garden watered. -
Even if I were the champion I don't think I would brag about it.

At the very least these people should be required to obtain a permit and the conditions of that permit should have some specifics in the way of safety precautions. No panhandling on 278 or 92. Better yet, just make it illegal. It's illegal to panhandled in Atlanta.

Does this mean I owe you and yours a steak when I get one?

You guys forget you were in the south? I got up at 2:15 Saturday morning, drove to Alabama and fished until 2:00. Then drove home and cut my grass. Wait till August.

You DO know how bad I want one of these, right?

I'm trying to hydrate for a tournament tomorrow but for every bottle of water I drink I run to the little boy's room twice. If I don't stop drinking water I'll be dehydrated by lunch.

I had a job offer back in the early 1980's with the company that did all the exterior maintenance on the ESB. I would have been working on what was then the Pan Am building. A buddy that worked on the Pan Am project got to go over to the ESB and ride a swing stage to the top. That's a story to tell your grandkids.

I'm betting the money for the underlayment for the metal roof was VE'd for 15 pound felt and used to line someone's pocket. This is one of those buildings that started off with the ultimate specifications and wound up getting bare bone finishes. The problem is the final cost didn't reflect any of these cheaper systems.

Yep. That's what I have on my Droid. And the best part is I have a voice search so I just touch one icon and tell it where I want to go.

And to those that said back in 2007 "so what ideas do you guys have, just sit and wait?" Our answer is yes. And if we had of, we would be one of the most financially sound counties in the state right now.

I have a Tom Tom and a Garmin. I use the one in my Droid because I can speak my commands to it.

I am not a liar, but I admit to having some memory issues (possibly). You are telling me that Ms. Braddock was not a part of either committee? So who chaired and co-chaired that committee?

The problem I have with the bond and the people that worked to push it through (not necessarily the people that voted for it) is that they were not doing it for the children. They were doing it to enhance their housing market. Look at the list of contributors. They are dang near every one somehow connected to the housing industry. Mr. Golden might be the best Republican candidate. If he is I hope he wins the primary. But there is no way that I can bring myself to vote for him. Like Gomer says, screw me once shame on you........ And I am right there with you on Jummy Carter. T
