  1. I disagree. I'm more inclined to believe that the majority of the citizens whose livelihood was connected to the housing industry along with a few that were buffaloed by the politicians and EVERY Hispanic laborer the builders could get a driver's license for. We have spent the last two years trying to clean up the mess that was left by this kind of leadership. BTW, did you vote on the school bond in September 2007? And if you did, did you approve of it then as well?
  2. Golden and Braddock were part of forcing the school bond on the property owners of Paulding County. That alone should keep them from ever being elected to public office again. Stout came out of the chute flashing his Jesus badge. I want someone that can do a job without having to tell me about their religion. That only leaves the Democrat. Not much on Democrats, but he might fit in nicely when Roy Barnes is governor again. And he will be, Sonny made sure of that.
  3. Easy on Tommie Graham. He's the best thing to happen to the BOC in a long time.
  4. You could be right because it doesn't sound like Drew Lane shows up around the courthouse very often.

I wasn't suggesting that you did. I am just saying that there are a lot of people that have no respect for another person's property.
  6. Some of us have more than we need anyway. Just kidding. I am in no way advocating the use of pot. I have never used the stuff and never will again.
  7. I found it. It was the Committee for excellence for our kids. Looking to see who all was a part of that scheme.
  8. Gossip? I see it as a fact finding mission. Which brings me to part B of this post. What was the name of the organization that one of the candidates for state rep headed up for the school bond? Remember the $125 Million school bond that was voted down and then forced on us a second time? I am almost positive that one of the candidates was heavily involved in this. I am wondering about another one as well.
  9. The only thing I have ever known to be hurt by a pot smoker was a bag of Lays and a Snickers bar.
  10. I want to see the particular Paulding County business. I'm not saying that Mr. Golden isn't the best candidate, I am going to check his backers as well as the democrat's. I wouldn't even consider voting for the other two republicans.
  11. I'm not voting until I see who is contributing. You I am not worried about. Special interest groups I am worried about.
  12. Un-freakin-believable that this even makes the news.
  13. Because they are all in Hiram. Looks to have a lot of money backing him.
  14. You couldn't find any more BS in a stockyard. I had my meet and greet with my commissioner yesterday in the post office parking lot. You'll see his sign in my pasture soon.
  15. I am going to wait as well. I know a lot of people voted early in the last election only to find out that they would have voted differently had they had all the information that was out by election day. That and I want to see who is bankrolling who. That will help me determine who I will vote against.
  16. I find it humorous when I see someone telling me to go to a meet and greet and ask the candidates face to face. This might work if they were wired to a polygraph. I think I will stick to checking their history of how they have done business and who they have done business with. Chances are they haven't "found Jesus" and they will continue with the same type of behavioral pattern after they are elected.
  17. British Pricks. Stay off our coast. This is the second time you have been told!
  18. I'm sure there is plenty of media hype, but best I can tell there has been almost 10 million gallons of crude dumped into the gulf. In less than a week this spill will surpass the Exxon Valdez spill. That is not media hype. And the sad part is that the spill doesn't have a chance of being stopped for at least two more months. The first tropical storm or hurricane will deliver the knock out blow. And if this is a typical storm season it's not "if" but "when".
  19. And I didn't suggest that you didn't, did I? What I said was the people that have been successfully self-employed spend money for two reasons and two reasons only. 1. It is an absolute necessity. 2. There is a better than average chance of making a profit from the investment. And I don't know about you, but paying for the spending done by the Shearin Administration is a matter that concerns me. At this point the last thing we need is more of the same. It is time to pay off the debts and live within our means.
