Senate 31 candidate Carruth residency challenged
feelip replied to GreenEyedGirl's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Am I reading this correctly? Are you saying rules be damned, my guy is ALMOST legal? Arbitrary or not, it doesn't matter if it is 100 feet or 100 miles, rules are rules. BTW, I agree that Heath sucks, but I don't like sneaky bastards either. How long before you close this topic Pubbers? It don't seem to be going your way. -

I'd like to see a pic of the steak before it's cooked. A good dry aged ribeye is a thing of beauty. -

A couple of things "concern" ME. Was it trying to be sneaky or did the man not know what county he lived in? Either is a deal breaker for me. -

Taking a map to Mr. Crist's office. -
I don't think it is all that bad. The ones I know seem to do okay and they have some decent benefits.

You are right. Kinda. It was Andrew Young that called some "powerful whites" in Atlanta, Smart Ass White Boys. Shortly thereafter Boortz started referring to himself as a SAWB. I remembered hearing Hosea call in and thought he was credited for coining the phrase, but it was Andy. Didn't find where Lewis Grizzard was mentioned, but he could have been the original Smart Ass White Boy. My coffee mug came from Boortz during the Ring radio days.

Not really debating. You probably have a point. The fire tax probably does effect the ISO which should eventually have an effect on the cost of insurance. My guess is the amount saved will be a very small fraction of the cost of the fire tax. Money well spent? Depends on who you ask (or if your house is on fire). I have always had a problem with the manner in which the fire tax was sold to the public. Good old Baptist / Methodist "You're gonna burn in hell" fear tactics. And I KNEW the instant the fire tax passed they would make it the sole source for funding the FD. But, like I sa

I have never seen the effect on insurance cost as a deal breaker (or maker) for the fire tax. Common sense tells me that we need the fire and rescue and to have it we have to pay for it.
-
Back in the WRNG (Ring radio) days, Hosea Williams would call in and call Boortz a Smart Ass White Boy. I still have one of the SAWB coffee mugs.

Mine sure as heck didn't go down due to the fire tax. I would love to hear from anyone whose did.

That worthless POS should be in prison for some of the crap he pulled. That being said, what other choice do we have at this point? I think the threat of H/O insurance going through the roof is a crock since it never came down like Shearin and his team of good ol boys sold the majority of the county on. We have a pretty decent fire department here. As bad as I hate taxes, I think this one is a necessity. Cut some money out of the non-essentials so that it is not all put on the property owners.

For some reason most all the chefs have decided that salmon should be served rare or medium rare. I prefer mine cooked to just a little beyond medium rare. I have found if you go to medium rare and let it rest it will usually finish cooking to perfection. I usually cedar plank mine using one of Guy Fieri's recipes. This one: My link

I have a feeling that she will be forced to. But that's not the same thing. I would have felt a little better about her if she had been first in line to sign it. Needless to say, I am about as impressed with her this time as I was last time. I prefer having someone with an IQ equal to or higher than my own representing me. The fact that Paulette was elected the first time told me that the majority of the voters never look past the party to decide who to vote for. Pretty damn sad.
-
I am actually more concerned as to why Paulette has not signed.

I agree. And we need to make sure that she breaks even on this campaign. Kim, can you put an amount out there so we have something to shoot for?
