  1. I'm wondering if anyone has been to Kauai. I just booked flight and lodging, but I'd like to know some of the "must see" areas are and which places to avoid from someone who has been there. Any insight?
  2. Saw this on KSU's site... Husband is at school today, I'm sure he'll have a story to tell.
  3. I believe those pictures were taken after the house had been "cleaned up". YUCK! I'd hate to see the before pics.
  4. We switched from Comcast and will never go back! I love HD on all tvs and the wireless internet is great and lightning fast. I also like the caller ID that shows up on the tv screen. It was a good bit cheaper than Comcast, even years into it (not just introductory). Not sure if they are still having the special, but we got free installation AND they sent us a $350 gift card.
  5. Didn't the city of Hiram shoot down a proposed "toy store" a couple years ago? Seems that I remember a bunch of churches got together to rally against it, so the city changed the zoning laws to keep the store out.
  6. This could be a decent chunk of change for those that are eligible.... With an Oct. 21 deadline approaching to apply for a $500 monthly stop-loss allowance, the Defense Department appears to have exhausted most conventional means of trying to contact eligible veterans and is now asking current service members to get involved by calling any buddies who may be eligible. “We are asking military members to tell a friend … if they know people who separated or retired and may be eligible for this benefit, remind them to submit a claim before the deadline,” Pentagon spokeswoman Eileen L
  7. The recent comment regarding, "the only good muslim, is a dead one" shocked me. I can't believe people can feel that way about any race, religion, or sexual oreientation. Life is too short to be consumed by hatred and anger.
  8. Please post a picture of yourself so I can sure to avoid you whenever and wherever possible
  9. Ummm, that's not why Muslims, Jews, and some Christians don't eat swine. Nice "story".
  10. The ignorant and intolerant will be the ones who commit the same atrocities of our history. Think of the Native Americans, the Japanese, the Germans, and the Blacks...should we add Muslims to this list as well? My life and marriage were forever changed by what the radical Muslim extremists chose to carry out on September 11th. But I will NEVER be as ignorant and one sided as they are. Sadly, so many in this country are just like them and they can't even see it. I wonder how many people have truly gotten to know a Muslim before drawing their conclusions.
  11. Lemme know how the Sevin works. I bought some the other day for the very reason but have yet to put it down. It's too dang hot out there!
  12. Actually, yes, many of them are. I've traveled to many "Muslim" countries and the people I dealt with were extremely accomadating, very kind, and went out of their way to be of any assistance to me (even on Christmas Day).
  13. Disgusting. So are you advocating rounding up all the Muslims and slaughtering them as well? That type of thinking is no better than an Islamic extremist.
  14. Ignorance and intolerance is sad. And this entire thread is incredibly sad.
  15. I wonder if its an implant or body modification. Click on this link if you aren't squemish http://ishiboo.com/~danny/Mods/implants/
  16. Eh, too cheesy for me. But I can admire the sentiment behind it.
  17. Wish I had the power not to get PMS, but I can get PM's now
  18. Lame. I love old Aerosmith, but old man Tyler certainly won't get me to watch. Bad choice AI.
  19. Exactly. Nothing explains who I am like vinyl lettering.
  20. If you can stomach it, you can read the entire warrant here http://www.cbsatlanta.com/download/2010/0819/24690036.pdf I saw the "Mom" on tv and she looked as if she never missed a meal herself.
  21. Personally, I don't like them anyway. Most are not kept up and they end up being faded and unkempt, which is sad. If something were to happen to me, I don't want to be remembered by a roadside memorial of faded flowers, dirty teddy bears, and deflated balloons. But that's just me. In some countries, they paint a heart with a halo above it in the roadway as a reminder to be careful. It's rather enlightening to see so many hearts in the road...
  22. I've been following a blog of a man who had an autogonous stem cell transplant at Northwestern to cure his Crohn's disease. It's AMAZING what hope is out there and incredible how much it has seemed to help those who have gone through the clinical trials. This is the school that has performing the transplants... http://www.stemcell-immunotherapy.com/ Watch the video of the cured MS patient if you get a chance.
