  1. Does anyone know of a place in the area that sells live Maine lobster? I know WalMart used to but I just called and I got the big "no" from them. We usually have them shipped but due to time constraints, that's not feasible.
  2. No problems here but that's because my husband and I have sacrificed and endured more than the average person.
  3. Yep, it's an awesome channel (except for Danielle). It's 1470 on ATT Uverse. I think it's only in HD and not on the regular channels. I love watching it though, has tons of neat travel shows and tours of mansions, etc. Oh yeah, and no commercials.
  4. Speaking of Housewives, I saw that Danielle Staub has her own show on Wealth TV. It looks like a newer version of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous". I doubt I'll watch.
  5. Mine was completely incorrect, not that it matters anyway. There are numerous sites that list all your public info.
  6. It's sad but I don't see how taking her kids away is the answer. I always thought that a mom would and should do anything for her kids. Is it better for her to be on welfare or living in a homeless shelter?
  7. Very true! We bought and paid for our house in Paulding. It was small but a great starter home. Now we are landlords and bought our dream home for an incredible price in Cobb this past June. The poor economy has worked in our favor and by renting out our home, we are helping others to get back on their feet.
  8. Here's a list of all the airlines that fly into San Diego http://www.san.org/sdia/flights/airlines.aspx with the links to each airline. I would check the airlines directly because a lot of airlines don't show up on the discount sites. And when searching, if you are flexible with the dates, make sure to check that box. That way it'll show you the differences in prices for different dates. If it were me, I'd wait until it gets a little closer to the date you want to fly. But I know some people worry too much waiting. You can also sign up for trip alerts with Tripadvisor.com They
  9. Everyone is a victim. That's just the way it is today.
  10. If you are in public, it is not illegal to be videotaped. You are probably recorded 50 times a day without knowing it.
  11. I guess I don't see the issue with charging a $50 fee for having the medical examiner re-check the case before cremating the body. After missing two homicides and listing the wrong cause of death on 345 other cases, I can see why they have added this additional safety measure.
  12. Go ask him. You might find out more about what your kid is up to then you knew before. Either way, pervert or concerned citizen, talking to him is more useful than talking to strangers online.
  13. Our houses are worth less because of the morons who wanted HUGE houses without having the money to afford them. When all those homes when into foreclosure, POOF! there went the value of your home.
  14. Yes, theft by conversion is exactly what came to my mind when reading that post as well. I can't believe how many people are ok with stealing.
  15. If you decide on Costa Rica, lemme know. It's basically our home away from home and I can tell you the touristy places (Manuel Antonio and Jaco beach) to avoid and some of the hidden gems of the country. Love the place, and I love the people even more. No matter what you do, RENT A CAR don't bother with a "driver".
  16. I told my husband that we need to hurry up and go now since it's sinking back into the Indian Ocean.
  17. I lived in san Diego for three years. I loved it but was happy to leave as well. Not only is it very expensive but I missed hearing thunder and heavy rainstorms. Costa Rica is our home away from home, but it definitely gets HOT and very humid. There are a few areas of the country that don't get as hot but they were not nearly as beautful as other parts. I'd have to say Kaua'i Island, HI. The tradewinds keep it cool enough at night and the daytime it's 75-80. Perfect! but that nasty cost of living....ugh. $7 for a loaf of cheap whitebread was a little much for me. I want to c
  18. My area of Cobb has been taken care of quite well, couldn't tell Cobb vs Paulding. I'd think that Cobb has A LOT more streets to take care of than Paulding, to include interstates. I think every DOT worker did a great job. I can't imagine how difficult a time this must have been for ALL of them, regardless of what county they work in.
  19. I hope he doesn't have any patients who are truly in pain. Guess they need to find a better doctor.
  20. Husband threw his back out while trying to shovel the driveway at Superman Speed. He went from hero to zero in a split second. Glad we have a heating pad and painkillers.
  21. We got mail in Acworth and she knocked over our trashcan too. Poor lady must be having a rough day.
  22. That happened to us the first year we lived in Massachusetts. My husband simply HAD to have a stupid plow. We buy one and had very little measurable snow for two years. The year I sold the thing (while he was deployed) we got 3 feet of snow at a time. I only had one neighbor and thankfully he took pity on me and took care of my drive.
  23. I have always hated snow. Always have, always will. I'd much rather wake up to blue skies and a balmy 78 degree day. If I want snow, I can fly somewhere that has it.
  24. Also it depends if there is heated living spaces underneath or an attic, or cathedral ceiling. And it also makes a huge difference if anyone is living there at all in the first place. Like I said, it can give you an idea but I wouldn't put too much stock into it. Unless you notice one specific area continuously melting before everything else on a regular basis. In my old neighborhood, all the houses were the same and they all melted first in the same spot...above the master bathroom shower.
