  1. I also took Neurontin (Gabapentin). My husband was deployed for a year and Neurontin made me a looney toon. I would forget to go to work, cry for no reason, and I would even forget that I talked to my husband when he called. The last straw was when I had a ten minute conversation with my husband. And half an hour later I called him and was angry with him because he hadn't called me. WTF? A few years later I started seeing all the class action lawsuits and was grateful that I never experienced WORSE side effects. My DH refused the Neurontin for his migraines because of what he saw me
  2. Kennesaw Acupuncture, on the corner of Old Hwy 41 and Stanley Rd. She's pricey but worth it to help give him some relief from the pain. If you google the name, she has a website. Not sure if I can post a live link here or not.
  3. Wow, how much are his utilities? He's been doing this for over a year. Must make good money off the cotton candy gig to keep doing it this long.
  4. What she said. This happened to a friend of mine and they were allowed to stay in the home to finish out the lease...OR leave the home "broom clean" and get paid $2500 by the bank. They chose the $$$ and got the heck out of there.
  5. If it doesn't work for you, have you tried acupuncture? I never believed in it until recently. My husband has been debilitated by severe headaches. We tried every medicine imaginable until he developed a VERY serious blood clot in his leg from Treximet. He started acupuncture treatments and despite being the world's largest cynic, they are TRULY working. It's amazing.
  6. Nope, not at all. But he wanted to go to a park to hang out and "meet people" in downtown Atlanta. I'm thinking it's probably not the best place to hang out meet people right off. Maybe ease into meeting friends a little closer to our house first LOL Edited to add: and he's not my kid so I have to be extra mindful as his Mom entrusted us with him while she's thousands of miles away.
  7. That's my issue. He's a very kind and trusting young man. He's not going ANYWHERE alone, but I won't hover at all either. I want him to get to know life in the US but not all at once. He's a US citizen but hasn't lived here in a long time. He trusts everyone first and that worries me. Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking about Stars and Strikes but they serve alcohol LOLOLOLOL!
  8. We have a friend's son staying with us for two weeks to take some tests so he can attend a US college. Poor kid doesn't understand that you can't just go into Atlanta and hang out in the park to meet friends. He lives in a Central American country where each town, large or small, has a park where kids, families, everyone hangs out without fear of being robbed, raped, murdered, etc. It's part of their culture. Bless his heart, he asked if there were any parks in the area where he could hang out at the soccer field to meet friends. So, any ideas as to where he COULD go that he
  9. If you want a carnivore delight, Sal Grosso's Brazilian Steakhouse on Power's Ferry is fun. You can take as long as you want to eat and savor each different meat and the salad bar. Yeah, it's pricey, but it's fun once in awhile.
  10. Those are precisely the areas I was thinking of. Also some on Mars Hill and County Line Rd.
  11. Mango. I love the flavor of mango, but the texture is what I imagine snot to be like.
  12. OMG, I LOVED my Genera jeans back in the 80's!
  13. There is quite a bit of building going on in west Cobb.
  14. They are all dopers. It's such a non-story to me. And I truly despise that obnoxious O got the interview.
  15. I don't understand why they haven't shown Benny Hill on the air since he died in the early 90's. If they are so un-prudish, then why won't they air Benny Hill?
  16. Have you ever been to a Marine Corps Ball? Or seen pictures from one? That's what I'd suggest. Evening gown, to the floor, evening gown. Hair up if your length permits.
  17. It's friendly IMO. I do it to men or women because I think it's just a friendly gesture. If I make eye contact with ANYONE, I smile and nod. It freaks me out if someone makes eye contact with me and then looks away. I'm left wondering if I have a booger on my forehead or something equally as ghastly.
  18. But please NEVER EVER EVER put ketchup on a hot dog. Yuck. Just say no.
  19. I like to mix the mustard and ketchup into an orange blob.
  20. They are all living in Wheaton, IL where I grew up. But it's gone to hell now since Wheaton College allowed dancing in 2003 Wheaton College allows dancing
  21. Damn, I just became a binge drinker! Woot! Woot! Seriously, four drinks is weak without a timeframe.
