Sounds like your power supply/fan is acting up. I just had mine replaced because it would shut down just like that. That's a system (MB) problem though. It shouldn't affect your hard drive.

I often have, and still do. Lately, I've been pulling 16 hour days, so it's not as easy as it used to be....and what sucks is that I LOVE to cook!!! I'm good at it too! I have had what they call ADD all my life. I never even knew they had meds for it until I was almost 40. Discipline was TOUGH in my days as a kid growing up.
