  1. I had that problem a while back on my shop computer...they told me how to fix it though. Something I did with the wheel on the mouse made everything huge! It's all cool now though.
  2. I used to use AVG, until my friend (one of those amazing guru's who does everything from the ground up on computers and networking for major corporations) turned me on to AVAST. I've been using it for about 3 years or so on all of my comps and no virus yet. It's self updating, handles mail, etc. and scares you silly when a virus tries to attack you. Good stuff.
  3. Literally about the size of the state of Rhode Island, the way they've made it sound. It's all just a goofy ploy to sell homes...nothing more.
  4. I also spent many a night partying on top of that hill. You could see everything...and all those little balls from when it was a ski resort too. Man, that was a long time ago! Sure was.
  5. Having grown up in that area (Austell, Mableton) when I saw Vinings plastered all over the S/D's it was more than laughable....my god!!! What a stretch that is. Vinings is not even CLOSE to this area. They just borrowed the name to sell houses. Vinings is acually 2-3 exits north up I-285.....not even close to the "hood". And it has ALWAYS been the hood as long as I can remember.
  6. Sorry to get off topic, but it was nice actually meeting you in person a few weeks back, after knowing you for so many years!

    Water Bill

Since I am the only one living at my house now, my last bill was only $25. Prior to that (with 3 females in the house) it was around $55!! And this is only a 3 week bill without them here, so I expect next month's will be even lower.
  8. Sorry for your plight there, but that's the first time I ever heard of someone deleting their recycle bin. I didn't even know you could do that. Did you delete the actual bin, or did you delete what was in the bin? I am assuming the bin itself.
  9. I'm trying to get as much work as I can to bring down to dad's and repair before the season dries up. Also am looking for broken down equipment that people just want hauled off. Thanks folks. Glenn 678-315-8794
  10. We recorded this on our first night together at practice....pretty darned good, considering. http://www.youtube.com/user/GlennJiles#p/u/6/a3leM7tiPNQ
  11. This will always be the case. There's no such thing as a "eventually finding a way around it", as history has shown, even in countries like China that execute you on site. Showing your ID for Psuedofed is over-kill, and really only causes another hoop to jump through for people who simply want a GOOD, and working decongestant, without dealing with the hassle and invasion of privacy- (paper-work, simply IMO). So, why? Because some bureaucrats are making money from this in one way or another.....plus the notion of civil rights, but I'll leave that one for a different forum.
  12. I have an abundant supply of socks if you need any!!
  13. My socks are pulled up very tight, and my attitude towards potential jobs is impeccable....possibly to a fault. My negativity is only on this forum, and is truly based on facts. I know you aint being mean....but just FYI, I have over one dozen resumes, each carefully crafted for different positions. Not trying to boast, but my knowledge of writing up resume's is well above average. I have plenty of older friends & relatives who own and operate some very lucrative businesses, and we have discussed this phenomenon more times than I can count. They all pretty much tell me the same thing
  14. Man, you nailed that. I just got emailed my 7th rejection in only two weeks of applying for just about everything you can think of. I seriously think people my age (over 40, anyway) are deemed obsolete or something. It's just ridiculous....and scarier by the day.
  15. The Kroger on Ridge Rd. is like a mile from me, and open 24/7. I LOVE going up there around midnight.....park right at the front, no one trying to run you over with their buggies, chatting with the help, and just taking my time, picking up what I need. Don;t really know why I'm posting this except to say, if you're under a LOT of stress, grocery shopping at night is a good way to get what you need without going through the stress of day time shopping. You may have to walk around a few large dolly's since they're stocking this time of night, but whoopty-doo!! I love my Kroger at night!!! Pl
  16. The season is winding down, so I am trying to cull all the work I can to bring to my dad's shop. He's dropping the business after this year, so I am trying to bring him as much as possible to survive the winter, and build myself enough capital to start a nice shop next year in Paulding. I have suffered a few setbacks this year, beyond the scope of business, but I KNOW for a fact that there is a big demand for this service in Paulding, so I am focusing everything I have on starting that business right here, in good old P.C.!!! Just call me...I pick the items up, take them to my dad's shop i
  17. Nope...not even a personal one. One of the reasons I am looking for broken down things like that so I can fix some to sell, and keep one for myself!! I aint got squat....two tillers, but tiller season is a good ways off. Plus, I have that power head (Ryobi) that no one seems to want to buy, although I have fixed several since then for almost double what I'm asking for this head!! Go figure??? I mean only 40 bucks for a screaming power head!! Just doesn't have attachments, but who cares, when most all brands will interchange, and people are having me rebuild their worn out heads for up to $70
  18. I'll gladly take it off your hands, clear your yard and garage out. Of course, repairs are still available. Just drop me a line at 678-315-8794. Glenn BTW, if you bought it from Home Depot, don't waste your time....you'll never get it back right, and if you do, the repair bill will be twice the value of the machine. Get it done RIGHT, and for less than what the machine is worth!! Glenn 678-315-8794 Chainsaws, blowers, mowers, weed whackers....I do it all. I work "magic", so I've been told by numerous people. Dad's shop is slowing down, so I need all I can get to help keep him
  19. I spent my life in this business, and I LOVED it during the 80's and 90's, but I must admit, it started becoming a circus after a while. My joy was in designing infrastructure, but after 2000 or so it turned into 75% or more legal "cover your ass" stuff. I miss the money, but I was already weary of the litigation long before the lay off's came around.
  20. I must admit, that even Fringe got just enough too weird for me to NOT miss the time I have watching it. It started out with amazing science-fiction-fact, then finally just seeing how wasted Walter could get, and how sexy the girl....(I forget her name)...agent...??? was getting....especially the one from the "other" side. (It got shallow....or maybe I did)...not sure.
  21. Danggit!!! I see these threads, and I remember when I had time to watch House, Fringe, and some other great shows. Just don't have time any more with my 24/7 schedule. But hey...I can always do like I did when LOST was a big thing...rent out the first 2-3 episodes and go from there. FRINGE was SO COOL!!!! I loved it, but I've been outa the loop for a while now.
  22. If it's in a S/D, then the survey will be on file, part of the final plat, which you can get a copy at the courthouse for about 2 bucks.. If not, then, yeah....a survey would be a good idea. I wouldn't pay for a survey unless it was a larger chunk of land not located in a S/D. JMO. If you'd like any more info, feel free to PM me, as I spent my life long career in this bizz. (before it went south about 5 years ago).
  23. If anyone needs me to pick up a mower and take it to Carrollton to have it fixed, please call me before Friday evening. 678-315-8794 Glenn Thanks.
