  1. I can tell you where not to go, the place with a AAM__ in douglasville. That lady told me the fluid smelled burned and a complete $2500 overhaul was all that i could do to fix a 3rd gear flare problem. Since all she did was plug in a computer and NEVER opened the hood, i want to know how she knew the fluid smelled burned? ----- hubby replaced a shift solenoid for $65 in parts and fixed the problem.......
  2. Never underestimate the power of marketing to lie to the public. Whether it is directly, indirectly or lies of ommission, you are being manipulated. It seems lumber liquidators is the latest company caught in a big one
  3. South paulding uses the Douglasville post office, and we usually get "grouped" mail --- meaning we will not get a single item in the box for 2 days, then on the 3rd or 4th day, the box will have about 15-20 letters and advertisements, etc. Many times the group will be rubber banded, so i am not sure if it is being held up at the post office or the driver. My neighbors are noticing the same thing.
  4. no idea on how to remove it.... I have found that there are 2 different rain-x bottles and the pump bottle tends to streak the windshield and requires alot more buffing to clear, where the squeeze/drip bottle does a much better job. I have also seen "old" rain-x leave streaks on windows too (stuff that may be 5+ years old)
  5. They have LED night lights up near the neck area and they shine down so the child can read or play, etc. They are great for long trips to disney, etc $20 ---- just send me a message if you want to see it, etc. I am in and out all weekend. Located in south paulding / ridge road area. Here are the specs i found for it : "Child Minimum Weight: 30.0 Lb., Maximum Weight: 100.0 Lb., Minimum Height: 38.0 ", Maximum Height: 57.0 " "
  6. I have one -- evenflow booster seat with night lights and cup holders. It is light brown and dark brown colored. Non smoking, but have cats. It has been used for a few years and I don't have a pic, but looks similar to this one from target:
  7. And when i read it, i wonder why he can't work outside of paulding county. If the families are "suffering" then he can drive to atlanta for work just like half of the county does. --- that is, unless no one else will hire him due to reputation, or bad workmanship, etc
  8. I use kayak.com and be flexible on the dates within a day or 2 either way, and see if there is a big difference on the prices. Also, i have seen big discounts by leaving out of a different airport, such as birmingham, chattanooga or greenville and coming back to the same or atlanta airport. Since it is just the 2 of them, then they would not save any money by going charter, but if there were 3+ of them, then they would break even and the more travel the cheaper per person (as long as they are not spooked by small planes). Charter pilots are at Cartersville, McCollum, Carrollton, etc. I
  9. Found a medium mostly black and white dog with a collar and no tags in South Paulding not to far away from Dugan and SPHS. There were two, but one ran off. Hoping to find owners....

  11. a time-delay joke --------- apparently the clock is still ticking
  12. it seems to be happening to uverse cable tv customers only
  13. They are heavy..... We ended up using a bunch of wooden blocks to lower the old one slowly and then lift the new one in place. The bolt holes on the new one did not line up, so we had to drill new ones into the upper cabinet. Some of the newer microwaves have a metal frame that bolts to the wall and the oven then slides out forward
  14. if you want to do it yourself, you can order a new windshield from Abra in douglasville for approx $90 and the sealer from napa for $12 if you want a used windshield, there is a shop across the parkig lot from pull-a-part south (morelend ave, atlanta) that will install any used windshield from pull a part for $110 complete including the cost of the used windshield
  15. There seems to be a windows media player bug in windows 7 & 8. You can download a different media player (there are plenty of free ones out there) to play your CDs or if you really want to keep the one you have...... try one of microsoft's official ways to fix the problem (kind of tech related stuff) There is a microsoft "Fixit" tool for this bug that you can download ---- more info can be found on their web site by searching for tech article# KB886549 microsoft's media player diagnostic tool may be able to fix it also: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_di
  16. The cameras i am referring to are pointed both directions along the trail, i don't remember them being pointed at the water plant entrance. I didn't know if there were others in the paulding jurisdiction of the trail....... In cobb county, the SCT has cameras with night vision IR and they are located "almost" each place it crosses a road
  17. Where are the nearest cameras to the attack area? I know there are some at the silver comet intersection at the sewer plant. I am sure the detectives will be able to see the time that she passed by and get a better idea of the time of attack (or maybe a pic of the perp)
  18. sounds like taxation without representation --- wasn't there an argument about that around 238 years ago?
  19. When you took off the battery cable, you erased the ecu / computer settings, including the transmission shift points, etc. After a few drive cycles, the same symptoms "could" come back again.
  20. currently he is active duty and has a desk job at fort sam houston, in texas http://www.military.com/daily-news/2014/07/14/bergdahl-gets-army-desk-job.html?ESRC=dod.nl
  21. Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl could be entitled to about $300,000 in back pay and special compensation following his release as a Taliban prisoner "Gary Solis, a retired Marine judge advocate and military judge, said he would not recommend trying to convict Bergdahl of desertion. He said it would be too difficult to prove "he left with no intent to return." ------- " He said, upon reading the reported facts of Bergdahl's release, it is more likely the Army would pursue Absence Without Leave charges" (AWOL) link: http://www.military.com/daily-news/2014/06/04/bergdahl-could-receive-300k-in-r
  22. Try burger's market in douglasville, on bankhead about a mile east of downtown. Their store in dallas is alot smaller, but it may be there also.
  23. Since some as* hat decided a few years ago to turn all those "junk car" and "debris in the yard" and "tall grass" and "loose dog" violations (county ordinances) into criminal misdemeanors with possible jail time, they must have a "victim" of the crime. You can no longer just call and get the issue taken care of. You have to fill out paperwork and sign your name stating you will come to court as a witness, etc Also, along the same lines for the original post, it is alot easier to prosecute a person than to go after a corporation / insurance company in a "criminal" matter. This cou
  24. These issues usually occur in areas that are not near large military bases and cemeteries. Having lived in arlington, pensacola, colorado springs and fort walton beach, i can assure you that this day is "honored" and not celebrated like a party in those cities. Many stores in military towns do not even have a sale today out of respect for the local community.
  25. They are "independent contractors" that go around trying to sell services and are not employed by Scott's. They get a cut from any services they can sell. Similar types come around selling for AT&T uverse internet, or comcast/xfinity, or magazine subscriptions, etc Now, not to say that there is some other type of side business going on casing homes, i don't know. But, it gives them a "legit" reason to be walking around subdivisions during the day
