  1. These new light therapy beds that I have been told about do not tan or emit any burning rays at all. They are strictly for healing and they are recommended for arthritis. I haven't tried one yet, but I seriously doubt they would remain cool enough for me My profile pic is the darkest I have been in my life and it was taken during the only time in my life that I was "tanning". I quit after about 2.5 years.
  2. Maybe it has something to do with the weird meteorite shower over Russia today? The article says it created an explosion so strong that several people were injured from windows breaking and that cell phones were working "intermittently." It sounds like a large meteorite broke apart low to the earth. This seems like it is straight out of some scifi movie. In those movies doesn't the large meteor shower happen first and then a large astroid hits earth? http://www.theage.co...0215-2ei2j.html Here is a link to a second article in the Moscow Times. http://www.themoscowtimes.com/news/article/me
  3. I wonder if this is similar to the new light therapy beds for healing that some of the local tanning beds have now? If these things emit a lot of heat then I wouldn't be able to stand it.
  4. Yep. If you eat any kind of meat then that meat is muscle that is grown off the bone of that animal. All meat will have some amount of gelatin. How many of us have pulled the meat off the bone to eat it? It's there. Most gelatin in the U.S. comes from beef. Gelatin grows hair and nails strong and fast. You can buy gelatin capsules at Walmart. I use to take 2 a day for many years. Sunkist contains a resin and most resin's come from trees. Red food dye is usually derived from bugs, I think specifically beetles. If you want to eat something without these type of substances then you will need
  5. The hubby is currently about to face the blizzard in Maine while working. He is expected to be there until the 15th. We will go out and celebrate when he returns home.
  6. My husband is in Maine right now for work with 2 of his coworkers. The warning that was posted by the National Weather Service says 1-2 FEET of snow is forecasted to fall between now and Saturday with the bulk of the snow falling Friday-Saturday. Thankfully he is from Minnesota so he grew up around a lot of snow, but it has been a long time since he has been in a blizzard. I am worried.
  7. :yahoo: Woohoo! I care to see the pics and I am so happy for you. Doesn't your cat try to claw the furniture? Our first 2 (the oldest) never did but the last two are brothers that are almost 7 now and I can't seem to stop them no matter how many scratching posts, pads, or sprays I use. It's time to replace the living room furniture and it is all LaZBoy. It seems as though none of them have touched my leather recliner so I am thinking of replacing the old furniture with leather, but the hubster won't like the cold feeling it has.
  8. That is good because come this summer we will need any precipitation that we will receive now.
  9. We are supposed to get a total rainfall of 2-6 inches between now and next Wednesday. NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook "A SECOND SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE AREA AND BRING MORE RAIN CHANCES TO THE STATE SUNDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY. CURRENTLY 2 TO 5 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR 6 INCHES ESPECIALLY ACROSS CENTRAL SECTIONS OF THE FORECAST AREA. WITH WET ANTECEDENT CONDITIONS...FLOODING IS LIKELY."
  10. Doesn't Chicago have a gun ban? I can't imagine a gun ban and the police not responding right away to a break in.
  11. I think the one that just shook my two story home in New Hope had to have been larger than 20 mph and it was roaring! I can't usually hear a 20mph wind from my bedroom. This cold Canadian air is coming in. We are supposed to get down to 34' F tonight.
  12. You are welcome. Yeah all this wind tonight is from the cold Canadian air rolling in. If we do get that low in our temps then I would not be at all surprised if a couple of bridges have slick spots early in the morning. All the early risers leaving for work will need to be on the lookout for fallen trees in the road.
  13. Be glad you did as we are supposed to get down to 34' F tonight.
  14. At least one tornado has touched down in Nashville this morning. There have been reports of roofs off homes and part of one story of a three story building has been torn off.
  15. If you were able to pin down where it sounded like it was coming from then did you call the police?
  16. I am around the corner from Hollis and Murray. I was awake and at home all day yesterday and never heard a shot.
  17. Oh no, I am so sorry to hear that. Thank you for letting me know. Marrioti is close to home but do you really need to make an appointment? I never know until I wake up how I am feeling as far as getting regular maintenance and other errands done. If you have a break down then typically how long is it before they can get to your auto?
  18. Yep. My arthritis has my hands "pulsing" with increased pain since last night. I usually have a flashlight, water and our cat carriers set up downstairs in case of an emergency. Everything got moved around last year when the new HVAC was installed and I lost my top shelf space in the laundry room. I've got to go down in the next day or two and rearrange a few things.
  19. OMG when did this happen?! I need to take the Mustang in right now and haven't been in for a long time. Who are you going to now for repairs and maintenance? LPPT, please message me if you would rather not post the info. We will need a replacement very soon if Chris is out of business.
  20. There is a little side road on East Paulding that is between the entrance to Twelve Oaks and the entrance to the car wash at Publix. That little side road goes back to some acreage that MIGHT be large enough for target practice. It is private property but the owners could have been back there.
  21. This is the one that use to be open to the citizens of Paulding County. Now it is private and not open to the general public.
  22. If it was INSIDE Twelve Oaks then I can assure you police would have been called out pretty quickly. There are no lots in Twelve Oaks that are large enough to be far enough from the road or other homes to meet the regulations for discharging a firearm legally in Paulding County. Our lot is a tad over 1/2 an acre. There are a couple of lots across the street that have a pond divided in their acreage so some with a pond or corner lot are larger, but it's not enough to safely or legally discharge a firearm. That is unless someone is discharging one in self defense, then that would be a different
  23. The Advil Cold and Sinus might work better for some because the sinus swelling is an inflammatory response and Advil is an anti-inflammatory. I have severe sinus issues and I have a constant drainage down the throat. I use Zyrtec and a prescription corticosteriod spray called Nasonex that instantly reduces swelling. Sometimes I will take a dose of diphenhyrdramine (Benadryl) at night, which is another antihistamine. If my congestion gets bad like during a cold or pollen season, then I will use the REAL Actifed. The kind you have to sign for at the pharmacy counter, not the shelf kind.
  24. We use World Class Auto in Hiram. Chris is the owner and he is usually in the shop. 770-439-1337
