  1. You can be cremated AND buried afterwards. That way family has a place to visit where your remains are and it will probably still be less expensive than a full body burial. I think I am going to plan mine before I die. Alot of people are doing that these days.
  2. As far as cremation goes I would think it would depend on the personal beliefs of the person who has passed. I would prefer a typical body burial. For my animals though I will be using cremation in the future.
  3. hubby washes them (don't dry them off!). Then places them in a gallon freezer baggie with about 1 lb brown sugar and lots of garlic powder. The water/chicken juice mixes with the brown sugar and garlic powder to form a marinade of sorts. Let them sit in the fridge for a few hours, just flip the bag over once or twice. Then cover a huge sheet pan with foil, place them on the foil (discard remaining sugar mix left in bag) and bake till done. I think he does that at 350'-400'. They are delicious. Kind of like a barbeque or terriaki chicken leg. Sometimes we make Uncle Bens rice to go with them. I
  4. I read that his mother may be about to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the doctor. I can't say that I would blame her since the police have not charged the doctor with anything, but yet one of the drugs being used in Michael's home treatment was FDA labeled for use in hospital anesthesiology only. This particular drug cannot be administered alone because it has to be administered by continuous IV in order for you to stay asleep. Someone else had to administer it, probably his live in doctor. They also ordered a 2nd autopsy done with a doctor of their own choosing. I am wondering if
  5. All it will take is a bit of blood for genetic testing to know for sure.
  6. Thank you for your concern. He just walked into the door though safe and sound. All 3 of my male cats run to meet him at the door like dogs! LOL My one female justs continues to sit beside me and looks at him like "oh you are home, bah humbug!".
  7. Call and ask who to send it back too and send it CERTIFIED, so there will be no question that they received it back.
  8. Don't forget a little vanilla brings out the flavor. I like pecans in mine too. Banana bread is always better if you let it cool off, wrap up tightly with aluminum foil or plastic wrap and let it sit a day. The bread will "ripen" and become better flavored. It's great served warmed with a little butter.
  9. I LOL alot when on the computer. If it has been very quiet and my 4 cats are asleep on my bed, I will scare the heck out of them laughing. Hubby has told me that once I woke him up when I was laughing, the kicker is that I was ALSO asleep. Laughing in my sleep so loud that it woke him up! Weird.
  10. The bad stuff is still in Alabama. Hubby just landed at the airport coming home from Puerto Rico. Thank God hurricane Bill missed the island.
  11. Maybe they were saving it to be recycled? I am bad but not THAT bad. My clutter is about 99% projects that I plan to work on eventually. With my fibro pain, insomnia etc. it can just take awhile.
  12. Your grandmother may have been alive during the depression. Alot of people who lived through it have a big problem throwing anything away. If you go without needed items for too long you can become this way.
  13. No humans were actually hurt during the making of this visual imagery. Thank God! I actually thought this was a posted joke at first.

It comes on again at 11pm. Thank you for the reminder. I have been in bed sick and forgot about it.
  15. Ghost Hunters will be on. I'd rather watch that.
  16. During the tax free weekend I bought a magic bullet set at Kohl's for $20 off. I don't know if they still have them on sale though. The bumpits I have bought but haven't tried yet (I am kind of scared to!). The pedegg I LOVE! For those who have low back pain and can't bend easily, Walmart now has them with a long reach handle on it. Thank you for the advice on the pink shaving pads. I haven't used them yet, so I think I will return them.
  17. i voted tv. Because hubby travels so much we have a policy that started when we were first engaged almost 10 years ago, when he is out of town he calls every night at bedtime so that we can talk and catch up on the day with each other. He travels so much for work that during the busiest time of year I will only see him 4 days a month, so these nightly phone calls are our communication system and I jokingly call our cell phones our "marital aids" (kelly will get a kick out of that). My computer has to stay because I do SO MUCH on it. Keeping in touch with friends, family etc. Budgetin
  18. I guess she had her mind on Bob instead of Bill?
  19. Cool thank you! Do you work at Michaels then? Hiram or Town Center? I go into the Hiram one all the time.
  20. where is tropical storm Bob? I only see Bill. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
  21. I wear contacts and the past year I have had to wear reading glasses over them to see the computer or read. I go to the optometrist Tuesday but I DON'T want bifocals or even bifocal contacts! Now my Dad on the other hand does have to wear bifocals for normal wear, then when he is reading or at his computers (he is a programmer of almost 40 years) he has another pair for that. So yes, that is 3 different strengths! I would like to find some reading sunglasses for when sitting on the deck though.
  22. Tonight I mopped the floors, cleaned the kitchen, and done 2 loads of laundry while hubby played his online game! What a Saturday night. Edit: Dang! I just got in my first post and didn't realize the game was already over. Oh well. Congrats Clio!
  23. Thank you Opie. It is the initial of my maiden name, so I just went with it. Nice playing with everyone tonight.
