I used to suffer severe anxiety, almost daily. I too have the dry skin and eyes and many more symptoms but it's not all the time just occassionally. Again thank you for your reply. My doctor has me taking Levothyroxine (sp?) and I believe it's the generic of synthroid. It seems to be helping with many symptoms.....I'm thinking that maybe I've not taken it long enough yet. I have just recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidisim and was wondering if anyone else here suffers from symptoms? If so, what do you do to help ease the discomforts? My doctor has me on thyroid medication (T4) and have been taking it now for almost 6wks. Some symptoms have seemed to subside but others continue to linger. My Dad also has a hietal henia and his doctor told him pretty-much the same things as you've mentioned. Dad feels much better. (He was diagnosed with his about 30-35 yrs ago) He's goin' on 70.
