  1. Our company used to do that also - it was a tradition and the employees brought a dish to share if they wanted to. It was always a great day and inspired comraderie. It sure looks delicious. Right now it looks like a big baggie of white meat; a big baggie of dark meat; and a baggie of skin, bones and slop from the bottom of the roasting pan to freeze for soup broth.
  2. Thank you!! Our day is filled with Thanks; we are so blessed
  3. This is the first year I had a counter top roaster. Put the stuffed turkey in at 11:00 p.m. He will cook all night and I will get up from time to time to baste him. We had such a fine day of memories. Daughter and granddaughters came over and grand daughter in law. We baked desserts and prepped the sides. What a fun day. There are sleeping bodies all over my living room and the guest room is occupied. Thank you Lord for my family.
  4. 1953 Dark green chevy. After just 3 weeks, it only had 1 gear left. I didn't know how to drive a stick shift. Every time I pulled out (laying rubber), my mother would duck so no one would see her.
  5. I have one and only used twice. Time to dust it off and give it another chance
  6. I get sick of looking at it after 2 weeks; so definitely after.
  7. Baked chicken tenderloins with olive oil and Montreal seasoning - pasta with cheese - and a veggie of some sort. I am starving!
  8. I don't know directions but they were heading away from Hiram on Nebo Road; 4 cars with lights flashing and sirens screeching; one car with no lights flashing. Anyone know what was up?
  9. I think she was on her way to Food Depot! A cutie! TY for getting her out of the traffic.
  10. One had one severe one about 7, 8 years ago. I thought it was a stroke. Called ambulance and they determined I wasn't dying and I went to a Sunday "doc in a box". It was brought on by medication.
  11. Very great advice; thank you. I once had something caught in the throat and could not breathe. I threw myself forward over the back of a kitchen chair; it worked.
  12. Jalapeno Joe's Went in for lunch the other day with daughter and 12 yr old granddaughter. GD was sick with hives (it has been 5 days now; but that is another whole story). About the middle of meal, she just wanted to lean against wall and rest. When the owner came to offer us their super duper special brownie sundae, we said no thank you. But he insisted she have the sundae "free of charge". She only ate a few bites but it was delicious!!! Before we left, he made an "animal balloon" for her. Those kindnesses made her feel so special and brought a smile to her face. Thank y
  13. I got a Belkin at Target (I think). Works fine for us; price is right
  14. Where did you find it? I am going to make home made ham and bean soup very soon and I like to use spaetzle. I look about a week ago and couldn't find it. Also, my mom used to make "rivals" pronounced with a "short i" out of flour and water? maybe egg? and shred it into the boiling soup. When I tried it, it ended up in a big layer on the bottom of the pot. Now I use spaetzel!! lol
  15. I need to see the recipe. My daughter makes it and I don't like it. It is like I am drinking bottled BBQ sauce thru a straw.
  16. This is one of my favorites!! http://www.popisms.com/TelevisionCommercial/62047/Pampers-Commercial-2012.aspx
  17. Vet once told me it is ok for dogs to eat cat food; but cats shouldn't eat dog food on a regular basis. Cats need animal protein!! We switch occasionally at our house.
  18. Oh Thank you! I know that many read this post and thought I was crazy! Hang in there, LR!!!
  19. I am a Diane Sawyer fan; but I have to say; she sure seemed drunk. That did not sound "tired". I also watched the faces of the others and I think they knew something was going on.
