  1. I live just off Ridge Rd; and not a drop. Bring on the rain!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I just had a power outage for almost 45 minutes - not a happy girl. Temp went up to 77 and I was melting. I was very close to throwing the dogs in the car for a drive with the AC on. I once rented an old home in Marietta with no air. The shoes and purses would sometimes mold in the closet; I don't know how I did it. You put on make up and it melts off as you are doing it.
  3. The guy I heard was Brian (first or last name?). He told the family before Michael died that if anything happened he was not going to keep quiet about it. Both this guy and his current agent who lives in Atlanta said Michael was headed for trouble and looked terrible. He was apparently far too thin. But here you go!! Money talks. Elvis, chris benwa, the blonde bombshell? whose son died just before she did; and now Michael. All of them were being supplied with drugs by those closest to them.
  4. Each time I read about close family and friends (and doctors) enabling a rich person to become addicted I think about Britney Spears. Thank goodness someone in her family made a legal issue of it and said she is not capable of having unsupervised visits with her children or making financial decisions. I think they saved that girl's life. And I am sure that if those closest to MJ did not supply his drugs; he would just find someone else - UNLESS they made it a legal intervention. How sad. I have never been an avid fan but I do think he was supremely talented. A terrible unnecessar
  5. I have a pretty big yard and pay $40 for mow, trim, blow; I feel it is quite reasonable.
  6. Thank you - thank goodness I can type while I listen on the call! I appreciate your help.
  7. I don't have her number at work and I was supposed to have an appointment with her at 6:00!! I sent her a PM but not sure she will get it.
  8. I thought I entered this two weeks ago; and then couldn't fine it. "Meat me at West Metro".
  9. He is the reason I moved to Hiram. He kept making fun of Hay-Hiram. I since heard that he did not mean Hiram; there really is another town called HaHiram?? I don't know. But, it sounded so "backward" I wanted to move here; really! I had never, ever been to Hiram and then I started looking at houses here - because of him. I have loved every minute of living in Hiram. BUT - toward the end, he got really a little crazy; as in not so funny and rather desperate, I thought. Before that I did enjoy him but when he left; thought it was probably time. I hope he has a wonderful retireme
  10. No wonder my cat laughed at me when I tried to talk him into coming in "before he got wet"! Were we passed over.
  11. Last year I started stuffing my peppers with Zatarain's Jambalaya rice mix - I'll never do it any other way! Delicious. I then cooked mine in the crockpot in sauce and also froze them individually - A great reminder of my summer garden every time I had one this winter. sigh!
  12. We got lots of wind - in the weather sense; but don't see a drop of moisture. Please, please, please - just enough so I don't have to whip out the hose for watering.
  13. Keep the lightening in Cobb; just send us the rain! It is hot as blazes here in Hiram.
  14. Not yet; but I'm a prayin' for some so I don't have to water my veggies.
  15. You have to live under a rock to not be aware of all the warnings about leaving children and pets in a hot car; nevermind the security risk it poses. I just don't get it and thank god the authorities were called. It may very well have prohibited a future disaster in that family.
  16. When oldest DD was in first grade, they were cutting out pics to match the first letter - "A", a picture of an apple; etc. My dd told her teacher she was looking through the magazines for a penis, it started with a "p". I graduated with that teacher and she thought it appropriate to call me and tell me! Youngest dd in a pizza place for dinner with family - she is in a highchair. We all had pizza and I gave her a sip of wine - stupid, I know, but she wanted a drink and it was there; she asked for another sip and I said "No!". She screamed, "I want more wine, dammit!" We were horrified
  17. Hi girlie! Hope the "moves" went well. Of course we missed you and my hair has no color (other than gray) and ready for ponytails - I will be PMing soon! Glad you are back!
  18. oh no! Years ago my now ex husband was watching a move (The Graduate) and using a corn on the cob shaver to take the kernals off so we could freeze it and oops! There went the old finger tip - right into the corn. We did the same thing - ER and they sewed it back on. The kids kept saying "is that Daddy yelling??? in there?" I know it hurts - no more sharp knives for you!
  19. Oh Bless your hearts. I am so sorry. May God give you comfort and strength.
  20. I have 4 dogs and use Sentinel from the vet - no problems.
  21. For the past month, most of the county spiders are in my house. I think they are the brown recluse - nasty, uuuuugggggly! I'm scared to put my foot in a shoe without checking it first. BLEEECCHHH!!!
  22. Oldest DD is now 41; but as a little thing was sitting in a big overstuffed chair. We had "company" over (which means "guests") and she was just bathed and in her cute little summer jammies and started scratching a rather "unladylike" place. In an effort to stop it, I casually said "Honey, what are you doing?" and she replied "Just scratching my balls!". My husband and I and "the company" nearly fell off our chairs.
  23. Oh yes, I know the tune and the words! The gals will all pursue ya!
  24. My lil' girl weighs about 6# but is chunky for her size; LOL! She doesn't miss a meal. We eat Purina One, Lamb and Rice. Her head is the size of a tennis ball but the bod - well, it is just a bit thick!
  25. Passes for what? You pay per car when you get there (like maybe $10) and then pay to ride the rides or whatever. I love Stone Mountain but you MUST stay for the lazer show (free). However - it will be sooooooooooooooo hot and humid in August. I personally would go later in the day - ride the train around the mountain - visit a few shops - either eat in one of the restaurants or take a picnic for the lawn in front of the mountain and wait for the show (9:00 p.m.) Good luck! It is fun to go; but not so much in the heat of August.
