i smoke....like it ....no desire to quit. I DO want a cigarette when i am done eating but i can wait till i get to the truck. Some folks really ARE repulsed by the smell and that would spoil their appetite or make them unable to eat so restaurant bans dont bother me. I have been thru so much medically if they told me today i also have cancer i would not be able to do anything but laugh and say "that figures".

wow...was the water kinda low last weekend? One year we went and it only took about 1 1/2 hours...next time closer to 2 1/2 and it started pouring rain and i froze. I am going to do the Norrley river in Blairsville first week in august. Never done the hooch around here (yes, it is the hooch in Helen)but pretty sure LGM has with her dad when she was small.

i was till 2005. Then suddenly i am way too thin...my age is showing badly in my face, and of course there is a tube coming out of my stomach area that goes to a bag so not at all pleased, but i AM however comfortable with WHO i am now that i have some age behind me. (i keep threatening to take all the dang mirrors out of the house completely! even bathroom medicine cabinets and get those that have pictures of scenery on them!)

agree. i am over forty and can barely keep up with HR much less full time!!! Although i have an aunt who was having boys for 30 years of her life..all spaced about 4 to 8 years apart and youngest born when oldest was 30. 6 BOYS TOTAL!!! I have no idea how she did that. Then got the last grown and in came the feeble and sick in laws to live with them. She took care of everyone for her entire life and never did anything for just her. Told friends recently they would be in walkers at high school graduation cause they are older than us and just had one. I guess maybe for the some the "baby" -
oh my!!!! if you happen to run across some that are Blue Willow or at least Blue china patterns you can do that with you can consider at least four sold! Blue and white are my kitchen colors although the counter is grey and rest of stuff is black...go figure

oh that is funny....that is LGM's favorite..(minus the rice) She actually requested it for the little bday dinner next monday here. Its always chicken casserole or country fried steak when i ask her what she wants me to make..ha. Love that one though and hadnt thought about freezing it. I might make two next monday and freeze one for the trip.

been there. well, we were cub scout leaders for years until son bailed out on it...we did go with our den chief on several trips though and followed him all the way to eagle anyways. we loved doing it and cubs too but was lots of work and i know hubby would not want to relive that. Three nights a week we had a house full of very hyper, excited boys..ha

this is why hubby no longer goes..ha. His leg with all the metal parts now doesnt allow for that kind of hiking and caving and tubing and rafting so i have to take "adopted son" that i trained to take my place at ingles when i fell ill. I am not "THAT HANDICAPPED" just have an illeostomy with tubing and large bag i have to tote around. I weighed my pack though and its 28 pounds....ugh. Thans for the ideas everybody though. I am sure after that really long day i will be ready to eat and need something really easy but good. There are over 300 recipes on campbells sight but i just didnt wa

i was all for roughing it and just walking the app. trail and sleeping wherever but he insisted on getting a little cabin to cook and rest cause of my health conditions...(afraid to bring me back home sick and hubby and real son killing him..ha) So, he got a cabin on blood mtn and they pretty well have everything. I have a 2 qt crock pot i could also take if needed and just let it cook all day. That day we will be hiking about 15 to 20 miles early in the day and tubing and day use campground stuff for afternoon. With my disability that is gonna be a lot of activites but i can handle it..ha

2nd night of my hiking trip i am gonna be WORN OUT so i got four chicken breasts to bake in the oven while i take a hot bath. Anybody got any tried and true simple recipes for maybe a chicken and rice together thing? Too many to search thru on the campbells website. The young person i am going with is a HUGE chicken person...not big on red meat but he will the burgers the first night. I am also not accustomed to just cooking for two either so this is not easy for me...ha. I was a chef for so long it took me forever to scale down to just cooking for four.

Hiking buddy and I are heading out first week of august for our yearly trek through whatever jungles or woods or caves and the like that i come up with for us to do every year. Really wish i could take hubby along but also happy he wants me to do this still even though he cannot any longer. Anyhow, this year this young lad and I are heading to the Appalachain Trial. YAY!!!! Now, we DO have a cabin to sleep in and primarily we are hiking the entire time. I have it mapped out in order and easiest routes etc so that we can get the majority of the trail done in the amount of time alloted. All

my home phone is comcast and I HATE IT!! I changed to get the best deal and get the high speed internet that the son has to have. They let us keep our old number with At &t but the amount of solicitation calls and just general bull calls has doubled and we eventually just took it off the dang hook!!! It flashes across the tv screen who is calling too when you are trying to just ignore the 1-800 numbers and was making us both mad. Also, let me note at least once a week either the phone or the internet is down for several hours!!! Hate it all and the bill is large...dont think we are actua

A little trip to a local commerce member today...
whitewitch369 replied to Caped Crusader's topic in RECENT TOPICS
what is really cool is the small packs are the same prices as the larger family packs!!! Rest of the meat places you HAVE TO buy the larger family pack to get the best price. I stopped in and got a small pack of the chicken breast to take with on vacation and also some ground for burgers since we are gonna be mostly in the woods and eating stuff we can grill. YAY i try to get in there at least every other week or so and check out whats on special. -
i have cracked and fractured my ribs many times just from coughing. Its not that hard to do and actually sometimes you dont even realize it till they start to spread (kinda like a windshield) from continued coughing. Then again i used to get bronchitis all the time and have COPD now. (smoker...all my adult life and still aint givin them up..ha)

two cats, one dog that is equivalent to about four average size dogs with long hair. Laminates must be swept and damp mopped every day. Let it go one day and you can make extra cats out of just what is visible against furniture and corners! Not a big thing though. Only takes about ten minutes total with good broom and sponge mop. I AM ocd about dishes being in the sink though. If hubby puts his ice cream bowl in after dishes are already done i HAVE TO wash it before i can go to bed. He takes his coffee mug with him in the morning so i BETTER get up and start day with EMPTY SINK!

At least he doesnt call the PO PO on people and ruin their harmless fun like some folks do. They came down here right after my hubby gave the ten or so kids a sparkler to run around with and said someone reported illegal fireworks being shot in this sub. Right then the culdesac behind us sent off a bunch of big ones and the po po decided it must have been that circle instead and they even set their siren off for a min and their lights to amuse the kids down here. Not saying we werent firing off the bigger stuff too cause ALL THREE circles here were as we always do every fourth and New Years

Sorry if it was ours causing the animals to be so scared but we had a blast and so did our saint bernard. He loved all the attention from the 20 some odd folks here at the house and sat on the porch in amazement at the fireworks. He barked once all night at the first guest that showed up and rang the bell and that was it.

precisely!!!! we do fireworks for the fouth every year here in the middle of the culdesac and the neighbors all come out and watch. No one has ever been hurt...no fires...always have hose running all way down drive just in case something weird happens and this year not only did hubby pile up on the fireworks...he bought a fire extinguisher which is something we have never owned and really did kinda need with wood heater and all. (i think when the trash can of dryer lint caught on fire this past winter when the reg. furnace kicked on it scared him a bit..ha.) I AM THE ONE who tends to catch

north carolina and TENNESSEE!!! We used to go up to tenn every memorial day and labor day. Got a ticket just for a smidge over every time. I mean less than 10 over most of them. Always when coming down off one of the "mountains" between here and livingston. Signal mtn. was worst.

I generally like remakes better than the first ones anyways. Especially if they are acoustic versions like the stuff they play on 92.9 Sundays. Hate that particular song but he done much better. Is it just me or does he kinda have a young Vin Diesel thing going on when he has his shades on?
