  1. Thanks! I've got some catching up to do.
  2. Oh crap...no way!! I've missed it all! Its funny but just a couple days ago I was thinking, "I wonder where Big Brother is?", since it hasnt been on in ages! What days does it come on? I think in previous seasons it aired on Thurs, Sunday and maybe Monday?? I'm gonna go to the website now and see if I can watch the episodes I missed. Man, I could just kick myself silly.
  3. I watched it too. I couldn't believe how well balanced she seemed to be, or how well spoken, considering she only has a 5th grade education. I read something the other day where she said how wonderful it was to just be able to pick up her girls on a whim and take them to the beach if she wanted to. It must be incredible to have that much freedom after almost 2 decades of imprisonment. Positively shameful that the parole officials never picked up on any of the clues in all that time, or even did thorough investigations. I'm very happy that she won a big chunk of money, not that it could ever gi
  4. I dont know a whole lot about Tourettes syndrome so maybe this is a possibility. The few programs I have seen about this condition, though, (one very recently on TLC or DSC) I never witnessed a person trying to cover up their outbursts, snickers, laughter, etc., with their hands or other objects. Tourettes seems to be much more spontaneous and involuntary than that. (not really affording one the opportunity to cover their face with their hands, etc) I did notice however, that after the judge dealt harshly with Mr. Ashton, (and Mr. Baez) Mr. Ashton no longer had any facial tics or issues with
  5. I, like most ppl, (I'm guessing) think Casey is guilty, but I would say that today's win would have to go to the defense. I think Baez really brought out some good points. I found Cheney Mason to be an exceptional speaker as well. I could listen to his smooth "Burl Ives" like voice all day. I was completely riveted the entire time he was in front of the jury. It'll be a complete shame if Casey walks, but I believe the defense has definitely opened the door for that. It's certainly not off the table at this point. I was appalled at Jeff Ashton's constant snickering, laughing, eye-rolling stuf
  6. Somewhere in Time? (to answer the comment, "This is Frank, he shows my work") "As long as you keep your work zipped up around me, I dont give a rat's a$$ where you shove your show." and "Sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here!"
  7. I used to have a great website on my computer (but it blew up about a month ago so I lost everything ) that was a kind of "recipe finder" website. (like if you lost a recipe and were trying to locate it) If you can tell me some of the ingredients in the recipe, I can try to find that site again and look it up for you. Was it a kind of "stroganoff" type casserole, with gravy, mushrooms and that type thing?
  8. Some lightening here, around Northside Elementary, but not too bad right now. Dh is at work so all I have is a wussy dog who is hiding under the computer desk. Hope everyone stays safe! Oh wow...I spoke too soon...here comes the rain!
  9. Wow, that was crazy! That Nathan guy was nuts. 1100 boxes of Total cereal? He said he bought alot of stuff to "donate" to his church food pantry or something, but, with that much stuff, it appears he needs to start donating a little bit more perhaps. His basement looked like a grocery store. I loved that one woman, I think her name wss Joyce House. She seemed to be different than the rest...going around the store, trying to help others save, sharing q's, etc. Its too bad they didn't save that segment for last. I think it might have given a softer, fluffier feel to the program and left peop
  10. I admired so much the graceful way she handled herself, in spite of the horrible embarrasment she faced because of her husbands' actions. She certainly didn't deserve to be married to such a rat. Knowing, as I do, how stress and disease are related, I wonder how much it played a role in her illness? Her poor children. I so wished she would make it to Christmas for their sakes. At least she will be spared further embarassment with the upcoming charges he faces for campaign finance fraud.
  11. I agree. Most folks have, seemingly, endless compassion for those with cancer, Parkinsons, MS, MD, and various other diseases, yet we shun those with diseases of the mind. Until mental disease is accepted as a bonafide disease, this will probably always be the case. I encounter Miss Jessie a few times a week and I always wave and show her kindness. My dh does too but she reacts very differently to him, cussing and the like. Im not sure why. But he doesn't ever react...just moves along. I give thanks regularly for health of body AND mind. Sometimes we take that for granted. Sometimes we can jus
  12. I think kids eat free at Folks on Tuesdays too. (the one in Hiram in front of the Target.)
  13. I became addicted to the salsa verde at Taco Bell years ago. When I was pregnant I had to have Taco Bell every day. (I couldnt eat anything else) I use to order the exact same thing every time. (Two bean burritos with green sauce, minus red sauce, and extra green sauce) This was when we lived in Marietta, 1/2 mile away from Taco Bell. ; ) Then we moved here to Paulding and found out that the green sauce was discontinued. That was a really sad day. Red sauce (or any kind of meat swimming around in a red sauce) just turns my stomach upside down. I bought some salsa verde in the can at Kroge
  14. Over the weekend I was watching a show on Food Network called "What Would Brian Boitano Make?" Among other things, he made a pizza on his BBQ Grill, using one of those big round pizza stones. He put the stone on the grill and got it screaming hot before he put the piza on it. It looked soooo good when it was done! Since I have two of those pizza stones I made a mental note to go to the website and print that recipe but I forgot. Im still going to though! Anyway, that might be a good thing to start with since almost everyone loves pizza. Not sure how well it would work out if you don't have
  15. People who say "Atlannna" instead of "AtlanTa". Lots of folks seem to be afraid to nail that 2nd T. Oh, and people who glare at you in line at the grocery store because the cashier can't get your coupons to scan. A couple was behind me at Target the other day and the cashier was moving at a turtles pace, staring at every coupon and reading them for 5 minutes each. The couple were rolling their eyes openly and practically pawing the ground like angry bulls, so I apologized and they were like, "Oh, no no no! No problem!" Well, why were your eyes rolling out of your head then?? (No, I didnt
  16. Yeah, right? Papa Johns is soooo good! But they kept flap flap flappin away about how Dominoes has a new recipe...soooo much better than before... just try it once, you will love it...blah blah blah. I took one bite out of a piece and put it back in the box. That red sauce is soooo spicy. To make matters worse the two carnivores ordered a ton of meat on it and nothing else. Puke up. I just wanted a nice veggie pizza. Oh, and we paid $18.00 (with the tip) for 2 medium pizzas. We could have gotten an extra large at Papa Johns for only $12 bucks, but they were too lazy to go pick it up. (
  17. Dominoes. Im pouting because I really wanted Papa Johns but was outvoted. That margarita sounds really good though! I would trade both of these pizzas for just one of your Margaritas!
  18. Well, as usual, I would have loved to dine with Surepip and family but...... we had Sirloin steak on the grill, leftover mac n cheese, garden salad, seasoned butter peas, and sauteed yellow squash with bacon. The squash was sooooo good, I could have made that alone my entire dinner! Honestly, if there was any left I'd probably go attack it even though Im completely stuffed. I swear, I look like I rolled right off the buffet table. I went and put on my fat pants and then wrote "yellow squash" on my grocery list. This can't be good. I'm hoping I can stay awake to see Big Brother-- it start
  19. We have been to the GA aquarium only once, and the TN Aquarium at least 12 times over the years. The TN Aquarium is fantastic and its a pretty drive up there. We were not impressed with the one here in GA. Whichever one you choose, I hope you have fun.
  20. I hope you're not talking about squirrel! I printed some of the recipes from this thread and I'm going to make some today.
  21. Oh my gosh...when I was reading this thread I was wondering if anyone would mention that WS episode! It is absolutely my favorite episode ever. That woman was crazy. (If we are talking about the same one) She was quite a large person and I think she was from Alabama. She had 2 "teenage-ish" girls and I think one of the girls had a small daughter as well. The other family (that was halfway normal) had gargoyles outside their house and the fanatical Christian mom kept referring to them as "GORE-goyles". Omg, that just cracked me up. The ending of that show was the best though...she ripped up the
  22. Thanks for the reminder. I would have missed it! So...who is the saboteur? Very early on I was thinking Branden. But since he went to brush his teeth when the lights went out, Im thinking that is way too obvious a choice.
  23. I cleaned out the pantry and found a bag of Reeses miniature peanut butter cups (for baking) so I threw those into the brownies too, along with a cup of chopped walnuts. They are way too good! (and then to add insult to injury, I frosted the brownies...because at this point, it just simply doesn't matter anymore)
  24. Yeah, all of the above! Mmmm...yummy carbs.
  25. Country fried steak, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, seasoned lima beans, corn on the cob, crusty french rolls w/ butter and homemade brownies for dessert. We're watching our carbs.
