How unbelievably sad!! My prayers go out to this family.

I drive a 2001 Ford Explorer.

I got caught up in the traffic on my way to get my car tag. It was backed up for quite a ways towards Wal-Mart. I couldn't see a whole lot, but they had everybody going towards Business 6. 278 was totally blocked. I could see the tractor trailer and what looked like a dark blue SUV. Several other cars looked like they'd stopped to assist. It looked like they were loading a patient into the ambulance. I went home down 61 so I wouldn't have to caught in the traffic again.

 

Prayers said for all involved.

You're welcome. It's really hard to keep up with everything going on. When I first heard it, I check to see if anyone else was posting. When no one was, I figured I'd do my part in keeping Paulding informed!!!

 

I really hope and pray that the injured recover. Hopefully, someone will find out more info such as names, etc. and post when appropriate.

At first, they said one entrapment with 3 walking wounded. But I'm not sure. There might be one more.

There's a bad accident in Douglas County and they just said that Emory Flight was unavailable due to handling another call.

I was on the phone when the call first came in. I didn't hear a vehicle description. I wasn't sure I'd heard correctly when they said car vs. train.

 

I just pray that everyone pulls through this. We don't need another tragedy.

I hear all kinds of sirens near my house, but I don't live anywhere near the accident scene.

 

They're requesting another cross street with Angham.

They said earlier that the train pushed the car about 100 yards down the track. They were having trouble accessing the vehicle.

They are requesting units go to Pool and Roper Road for landing zone. They will probably need two helicopters.

The accident is at a crossing at Metromont Road. I can't place where it is. There is a 17-year-old male patient, entraped, altered mental status. Getting a helicopter. There are also 3 walking wounded.

 

They are requesting that ambulances en route have backboards and cervical collars.

I heard that there was one critical and one "walking wounded". I didn't hear what kind of vehicles were involved.
