We got a unexpected treat while on vacation in Daytona about 5 years ago. It was July 4th and we were cooling off in the condo at the beach. I just happened to be watching the launch countdown on TV and thought,....wonder if we can see it from here? We walked out onto the balcony and although it was 35 miles away, the launch was clear as day. I'll have to remember to grab some of those pics to post.

They could solve the problem if they had a back-up driver on board... ...no, that wouldn't work either... ....'cause every time he made a turn, the first driver would have to get up and change the direction of his blanket... ...forget I mentioned it.

It is disappointing that the space exploration program that resulted in much of the technology that we enjoy today and would have undoubtedly benefitted from in the future has been stopped dead in its tracks.

I would still need to know more detail about the incident. I may have missed parts of it, but the radio traffic they played on the radio this morning sounded like they didn't see smoke or fire from wherever they were at the time. I don't know if they had exited the truck if they could have seen any better. I'm not defending, I just don't know all the details. It would be difficult to live with whether it was a terrible mistake or a case of just being lazy. If it was a terrible mistake, then I don't know that they should have been fired.
