Does he exercise and eat well? If not, try walking every night and eating better and see if that helps. I was starting to be bothered by RLS several nights a week, but have only had it a couple of times since I started walking and lost 20 lbs.

I still say the Zero tolerance thing has backfired in a major way. A mean kid picks on a shy kid, and what does the shy kid do? Nothing! Because he knows if he fights back, he'll get in trouble, and being the good kid that he is, he goes by the rules. The bully, on the other hand, could care less if he gets in trouble, or he's experienced enough to not get caught. Think about it. Zero tolerance has taken away the DEFENSE.

I Am On A Mission. I Started My Mission Years Ago
jola replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Two of my top priorities in life are spending quality time with my family ( family values, showing elders you care and appreciate them, being respectful, etc) and making an effort to become more healthy(exercise, proper nutrition, reducing diabetes and addressing childhood obesity trends) . There are a LOT of things that I do to influence the people I come in contact with in both of these areas. I agree with and support many other causes, such as my church, cancer research, autism research, and preventing animal cruelty just to name a few. But these are not in my top ten right now. I appre -

Hi, Postman. You are always speaking your mind and speaking out for things you believe in here on p.com. I just thought it was funny that you posted that you speak your mind. I'll add another quote. If you don't stand for something , you'll fall for anything. I think it's important for people to think about a few things they feel strongly about, make a decision, and make those things a priority in their life. Each person will have different battles to fight, and each person can decide on how many battles they can handle. I could name my top 6 priorities ( but I won't, because that's not t -

What was it about today? Sometimes I catch the rerun if it's a particularly good one!

Think of all the good things in my life. Then think about your priorities. When I get stressed out about work, I remember that my family is my top priority and the job has to be second (or third, or fourth). Another thing...I just had this discussion with my mother.... Worry is the work of the devil, along with hate, jealousy, envy, etc. So if you allow yourself to get upset with worry, especially about things that are beyond your control, then you have allowed the devil to be in control. The opposite of worry is faith.

I think she is a moron to fall into a fountain because she was texting and not paying attention to what she was doing. I also think she was a fool to appear on tv and complain about nobody helping her. There is no obligation for someone to help you when you trip and fall over your own two feet. (Don't even get me started on how the guberment is "suppose" to help idiots) ...and to show her face when you couldn't tell who she was on the tape. But I do have a problem with a mall security tape ending up on youtube. I mean, if she had fallen down in the dressing room while half dressed, wo

This is great to hear; thanks for posting! I think there are a lot of people who need to lose weight, who WANT to lose weight, but don't know how to go about it. They don't need a fad diet and aren't able to jump in to P90x! Good luck on the new healthier you!

I haven't been out of my house since Saturday!

We got two vehicles down the driveway today, but couldn't get past the next door neighbor's house. There are multiple places on our street that stay in the shade all day, that are still solid sheets of ice!! We were headed to the grocery store, but no go. Time to start rationing and digging into the "unwanted" foods in the pantry! I am just SOoo thankful we never lost power! I can deal with the cabin fever and the canned tuna, as long as we have heat and Internet!! -
Well said, Mike. Thanks for posting the clip.

The BEST "last episode" of any show I've ever seen was the end of his Bob Newhart show where he ran the little bed and breakfast. Does anyone else remember it? Also, I loved Larry, Daryl, and his other brother, Daryl.

I didn't want to hijack Fishnthec's thread. How do you know you're suffering from Cabin Fever? Add your symptoms! I'll start: You know you have cabin fever when you're teenager is READING a chapter book!

Yes, people are so over-entertained these days that they get bored quickly when there's not something going on. I'd be nuts without the Internet right now. Our dish just froze up, so no tv until one of us gets up to do something about it. While everyone else was stocking up on milk and bread, I was buying magazines in case of power outages!

Sounds like a great way to make use of the kids' old soccer socks. I mean, who's going to wear bright red and blue socks that are half a mile long? One kid cut the toes out and made leg warmers yesterday, but what to do with the other elebendy pairs? Can you heat dry beans in them?

LPPT, you are doing the right thing. Even though I feel like the people who built this house can't expect to keep it private, I also feel like you are not obligated to tell something, just because you know. I am a very private person at heart, and always get upset if someone ELSE tells things that "aren't theirs to tell." I just wish the owners would realize that this structure draws a lot of attention and people want to know about it. I'm surprised at their decision to not want to share. They may even be surprised to find out that other people would be very understanding and probabl

I understand people wanting to know about the house.....it IS "different" after all. And I understand about people wanting to keep private about their personal lives. But heck, if you build a monstrosity like that on the road where people can see it, you can't exactly expect to keep it "private". Kinda like those punks who wear their hair in a spiked purple mohawk and then ask, "What are you looking at?" when you stare!

Idjits, I tell ya, just plain idjits. Did anybody see the guy who spun his tires so long he caught his Beemer on fire?
