I've bought and sold on Etsy for several years now. You don't have to be approved to sell, so anybody can sign up so long as they follow the rules...just like Ebay. You'll always have some people who send orders late, don't send at all, etc., and I really hate running into those but it doesn't happen very often. Generally, a good look at their rating will tell you what to expect. You can see what other buyers have said about them/their products, and I rarely buy from someone who is not an established seller. I looooove Etsy and have a house full of crafted and vintage stuff from the

Favorite.answer.ever. Some years they were wrapped, some years they weren't. With Mini-Me, we always wrap atleast some of them. Generally, the ones that require ninja skills to open and/or assemble are unwrapped and put together, and the rest are wrapped so she has time to see and appreciate each one instead of just one big pile of gifts. Even the wrapped barbies, dolls, Pet Shop animals, etc. have been removed from the boxes and all of those annoying little plastic 'hold it in the box' pieces are removed' before we wrap them...cuts down on Christmas Day 'what are these toy companies

OMG! Kim Zolciak is preggers!
lilgallowsmama replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yeah, I think we do. Up until September I had people going at my March due date and telling me I was huge. Now I have people going when I tell them I'm 6 months. Nobody believes I'm that far along. -

I concur. I looked 5 months at 14 weeks...and I haven't grown a bit since. Belly sizes are a horrid way to determine how far along someone is. -
My mom flew yesterday. It took her thirty minutes to tell me about her whole 'getting into the airport' experience. She's handicapped and has an eliostomy that sets off metal detectors....laaaawd, did that woman not have to jump through hoops to get on a plane. She said they even put some kind of powder on her hands, watched it for a few minutes, and then wiped it off with a wipe. She set off the metal detector and had to go through the TSA. The TSA went off and she had to be searched. They went through every little bottle of medication and zipper on both her and her body. Told

I curl up in a HOT Slumber Bubble bubble bath and read a book. Then, I curl up in bed, in my robe, and either continue reading the book or crochet something. Or I go to NC's house and eat all of her chocolate.

Anyone see the Kid Rock Special on VH1/CMT?
lilgallowsmama replied to bvrat5199's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yeeeeap, that's how I like them. I don't like Kid Rock, though. My mom is obsessed with him and there's some sort of unwritten rule that it's gross to have the hots for the same guy as your mom. -
Mine, all year long, has me text message little notes to Santa. Back in April she had me text him that she wanted a tye-die kit. Sa-weet! Now I just need money. I ebay'd a bunch of her gifts last year. Her list was easy, though - a blue dress, a purple dress, Princess boots, the Dora and Princess Leapster game, blue nail polish and a sleeping beauty doll. She got everything that was on her list.

The other half is a paramedic and said he does check for medical ID jewelry, but bracelets are more noticeable than necklaces. He also said that not only do most companies not have the capability of reading the USB bracelets, but it's quicker to read the actual bracelet than hook the USB up and get the information off of it.

I didn't realize how many buttons I have until I got pregnant again. Now, they come in a variety of sizes and locations (including many, MANY in my head), and most just take a slight breeze to push.

Mine is 6 and I handed her a few toy catalogs and a sharpie the other day. In every single one, she circled whatever barbie house that store had, something called a fin fin friend, the baby alive doll that you can feed, a few Leapster games, and a few movies. Her dad and I are splitting those. She circled a bunch more, but we decided to go with what she circled in all of the catalogs. We're debating not getting the baby alive doll, since she'll have a real one to feed just a few months later.

I used to do Starship because I didn't know I could have personal delivery, with a warranty. Now, I just order them from myself. I hated it, though - creepy people opening the toys and putting batteries in them to make sure they work first? Didn't even want to touch them afterward. They do sell one thing I typically couldn't get anywhere else...but now I can stream that online for free.

What's your favorite LATE NIGHT snack?
lilgallowsmama replied to GipperGirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Honey roasted peanut butter and cinnamon graham cracker sandwiches, dunked in whole milk. I get up at 3am, every.single.morning, make that for a snack, then go back to bed. My mom and I have both done it since I was about Mini-Me's age, and we both still do it now. -

Crochet hats, leg warmers, and hand warmers....all back in style and I've just about retired mine because I now look like every teeny bopper on campus. -
There's not much you can do. As a former KSU employee as well as a college student, he will likely be kicked out of the college and the offenses will go on his permanent record/transcript.

Yeah, no. That's what the bridesmaids and sisters are for. The groom and his friends are supposed to get drunk and hang out, whilst simultaneously recovering from the previous evenings exploits. I'd just as soon get married, just me and him, on a nude beach - wouldn't need anything but the tickets to get there and maybe a couple of rings. He didn't dig that idea so much.
-
That's all I want him to do. He's the bridezilla in our wedding planning. I've never heard of a groom having opinions and wanting a say in every little thing, right down to the color of the tablecloths. I even ditched mah dream dress because he hates lace.

Sometimes. Sometimes the best thing to do.

I can handle much larger than a 4 year difference...so long as he's the older one.
-
Ah. Um. Yeah. I've never thought about it like that. And I thought our 4 year age difference was gross.
