Beginning today, you can pre-order Windows 7 upgrade (the replacement for Vista and XP) from Best buy at a substantial savings. This offer will expire on July 11. I have experimented with Windows 7 already and recommend upgrading PC's that are using Vista. For XP users, I think you should stick with XP.
