  1. That makes sense Mark. Thanks for posting.
  2. I have ran into several site that stated that they would not work with the AOL browser (although I can't seem to locate one at the moment). Could you explain this issue?
  3. Yep. I view AOL as the internet with training wheels.
  4. I put mine on "standby" every night as this is a very low power state. If I will be gone for a few days, I turn it off and disconnect the power and the internet connection (DSL or Cable, whichever is applicable) due to the possibility of lightning. Surge protectors do little to protect from lightening due to the extremely high voltage of a lightning strike.
  5. 1. Since you probably have a broadband connection that AOL is running on top of, try using Internet Explorer without starting AOL to listen to the scanner. If it works, AOL is the problem. 2. Make sure you have the latest version of AOL software. 3. If Internet Explorer works, call AOL.
  6. ...from the company that runs the world's computers. The ad has been pulled.
  7. ...or he will want one! The story about this truck is here.
  8. For me, rifling through my wife's purse looking for something is like finding a needle in a haystack.
  9. Chrome was billed as the fastest browser around. FF3.5 claims to be twice as fast as 3.0. I have not done any testing. Your assignment Supercoot52, should you choose to accept it, is to test both of them and report back which is faster.
  10. I have never done either, but it sounds like there might be a couple of interesting stories here. Care to share?
  11. A swine flu party, that is. I'm thinking - NOT! Rest here.
  12. Does anyone use Google Voice? This is a really cool service. Currently you have to have an invite to use, but you can sign up for an invite.
  13. Good answer LR. Now we have posted 2 ways to do it and both work.
  14. Right click on the desktop. Left click properties. Click on the settings tab. Drag the resolution slider to the left.
  15. Actually, someone bought the name and started a business using it. Circuit City.
