You would not have been able to delete the fact that you purchased a gallon of hemorrhoid medicine or prevent your private chat from being shared. I'm sorry to keep belaboring the point, but people do NOT understand the extent to which Facebook has gone in revealing personal information than NO ONE ever thought would be revealed.

Click the "insert coin" button that is next to the "google search" button. Maybe Pac Man ate the earth?

Maybe this will mean that FB will never again allow FB members to inadvertently share with their friends the fact that they purchased items that might be considered embarrassing like hemorrhoid medicine. Also, maybe this means that they will never reveal the content of your private chats with the world. FB has done both of these in the past. I'll reserve judgment until I see the new policy and whether or not they actually put it into practice.

Did someone say that it was?

I'm sure there were plenty of smart people around and this guy may have been one of them. He just failed in his attempt to wax eloquent and waxed stupid instead. I think this is why some people and organizations only provide written statements to the media. As bad as I hate to admit it, I'm sure I could say something stupid as well.

I never ceased to be amazed at the stupid things that people say to the media.

Apple has finally relented after coming up with a simple solution to address their concerns. More here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13506_3-20005481-17.html?part=rss&subj=news&tag=2547-1_3-0-20

There needs to be a mass exodus from Facebook in an effort to force them to adopt reasonable privacy practices. Most people do not realize the type of information they are sharing with the world. Take a look at this article: http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/05/facebook-should-follow

You should also check out ATT Uverse if it is available in your area. We have had it since November and love it.

Welcome aboard.

It's time for a bigger hard drive or an external drive. You also need to remember that you need to have two copies of your pictures since they can never be replaced should something bad happen. Preferably, one of the copies should be somewhere other than your house.

The actual phrase is "the love of money is the root of all evil". Therefore, women are okay as long as you do not love them.

Internet stamps and envelopes are free (aka email). I'm not sure why this has not caught on with the schools. There is little reason to kill trees to communicate information now days. Even if the report cards were printed out at home, we could still save a wasted envelope.

A quote from the article: I think this is probably the reason Apple is doing this. I'm wondering if they have attempted to make other retailers that sell the iPad do the same thing (Best Buy for example).
-
That could work as well. but I like the idea of someone stealing it more. It would make a great news story.
-
I thought that as well. However, technically you would not be in debt to them because they will not sell it to you. Maybe if someone ran in the store, grabbed an iPad, and ran out into the street with it, the case could be made that you were in debt to Apple and they would have to accept cash. If that did not work, you could ponder the situation while sitting in jail.

Maybe they could sell it to someone that could keep it open.

Same for me. When I opened up my last checking account, the bank was going to issue a debit card. They gladly issued an ATM card instead.
-
The reason not to use a debit card is that if the card number falls into the wrong hands the thief will wipe out your account. While you will probably get your money back, you will be penniless until that time. If you also have written checks, all of the checks will bounce and you will have to deal with that as well. If the same thing happens with a credit card, it's not a big deal because only the banks money has been stolen. This has happened to me twice in the past 5 years and the thieves managed to rack up about $10,000 in charges between the two incidents. My liability was zero. The amoun

We are exact opposites. I would never have "piece of trash" debit card as Clark Howard calls them. Credit cards are fine for those that have the discipline to use them responsibly. http://clarkhoward.c...egory/7/40/225/
