I have one tattoo and I am not at all ashamed of it. To me,tattooing is an art form. My tattoo is in a place where it can be easily covered and usually is. It is something I hold dear and am proud of, yet I'm not going to push it on anyone. If you ask to see it, I will gladly show it. It is on my ankle/leg. I was told once I got a tattoo, I would want another. I have found this to very true. I have had mine for a little over 5 years now and want at least 1 more. This is my 2nd Christmas without my mom. It was also her favorite time of the year. She sooo enjoyed giving to others in any way that she could. Thank you LR

AMEN! If we are drinking an adult drink and one of our's wants a taste, we let them try it. I am also a firm believer that if you don't make something like drinking alcohol a horrible thing and let them do it in front of you...it takes away the desire to do it...no hiding it from the parents thing. We are also letting our oldest and her live in boyfriend sleep together when they come for a visit over Christmas. It is not like they are not doing it together at their home. Why try to put my head in the sand and act like they are not. I could soooo go on and on with this topic.

I've let my oldest have a hookie day one Monday in the Spring...if his grades were As and Bs...he goes fishing with his dad I'm letting my youngest wear flip flops in the house during the winter I still let my youngest sleep with me I've cursed at and in front of my kids. Does anyone have a trailor that we can borrow on Sat. for a couple of hours? I have a sofa and a full size mattress that I need to get to the dump. Sat is the only day my husband can do it because of his work schedule. We are willing to bartter if someone wants to. TIA

I agree with you and Thankfullyl, we as voters can put those elected officials out of a job when they come back up for re election. One reason we stay in this area is because of the small town feel of Dallas. We even brag about it to our friends when we talk about where we live. I say that either the elected officials get on board with making the city of Dallas more family and business friendly or they will be without a job when it comes time for re elections.

We actually have 2 traditions in our family. 1) My husband and I fix a huge Christmas brunch every Christmas morning. We invite family and friends over to enjoy it with us. We try to have a small gift for everyone that joins us. This allows us to make sure that none of our friends or family are alone on Christmas morning as well as gives our kids a chance to share with others what Santa brought them. 2) My kids and I back a cake and decorate it together. On Christmas Day, we put one candle on it, light it and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. The youngest family member gets to blow out

<br /><br /><br /> You learn to take the Thank yous that you do get and live off of them for a long time. I love my job and truly feel like it is a calling from God. I have left the field and came back. You quickly learn who to be careful with in regards to treatment and words....pick your battles kind of thing. At lot of it also depends on the admin. of the school.

You would be Amazed how this happens. Kids will protect each other and subs don't often know their tricks. Key words here.....proximity and lights on. I love what I do for a living and I subbed before I got my first teaching position but I don't know that I could do it now. Even as a certified teacher, it can be difficult for me to step in and cover another teacher's class at times. Kids are Much smarter than they appear at times. I feel for the substitute...there will be many consequences for this.
