Get there as early as you possibly can!! The festival is huge up there and traffic and parking can be a nightmare. A couple years ago when we went we got there in the morning and it took us about 20 minutes to get a parking space. My sister and her friend came later in the day and it took over an hour and a half just for them to find a parking space. The easiest way to go would be up I-575 which turns into 515 and when you get to Ellijay there will be signs telling you where to park. We did have a good time though. Lots of vendors and plenty of apple things to eat!

You nailed it right here! I respect him for doing what makes him happy and not letting anything else get in the way of that, but I don't think I could live like that. I guess I take too many things for granted, such as electricity, indoor plumbing, and availability of food. My thoughts exactly.

I think the correct word you're looking for is 'influence'.

I don't like our CONGRESS either.

Sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

My MIL says EYE-talian, instead of Italian. Drives me up the wall, being from an Italian family. And here in the south you always hear two versions of the word pecan: pee-can or pacon. I use the latter. I also can't stand when people say could of, should of, or would of. Uhhhh!

I sure as hell hope that when it comes to parents and their kids, that emotion would most definitely play a huge role. JMHO

That's one of the most absurd things I've ever heard. Seriously??? Btw, what was the $100 bill snafu? Apparently I'm out of the loop.

Looks like he would have been required to register for a period of 10 years and not for his entire lifetime, unless he committed another criminal sexual offense in which case he would be considered an adult criminal sex offender. That would be very difficult for him if that was on his record, i.e. applying for jobs, applying for college. This story is just so sad. I wish he would have tried to talked to someone before deciding to do what he did. so tragic.

Yes it does. That reminds of a list I saw not too long ago. Sorry for the language.

Yeah I think I'm gonna make some too next week. It's that time of year to start pulling out the chili ingredients!

"That moment when you realize, maybe this wasn't such a great idea." or "No amount of hard work can compensate for a stupid idea."

I'm so sorry for your loss. You are definitely in my thoughts. I pray you find peace and comfort as you grieve.

This is getting a bit ridiculous.

Any serious CAD 3D Draftsmen/Designers on p.com?
NinaBritt replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes, I've worked in programs with z axis. It takes some getting used to. Just an extra dimension you have to keep in mind when your drafting. I'd love to have Solidworks as well. I think that's the one where you can Integrate animation as well, right? -
Any serious CAD 3D Draftsmen/Designers on p.com?
NinaBritt replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Surepip, It sounds like what you need is a version of AutoCAD that is made just for this. AutoCAD Inventor would most likely be what you need as it has the capability to convert your .dwg drawings to a 3D visualization. You can go on the Autodesk website and download a free 30 day trial. I worked as CAD drafter in my previous job doing nothing but architectural drawings. In college I used to work on a version of AutoCAD (Architectural Autodesk) that was geared more toward 3D drawings. I would love to be able to help you out, but I think you'd have better luck with someone that has -
You guys crack me up!

Am I the only person who wears socks that match?
NinaBritt replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think she's referring to mismatched socks. I've seen this now, some younger girls wear mismatched socks now because it's "the thing". I just didn't know you could actually buy them like that. -
I love hearing stories like this and it's great when you hear about them in our own local community. Way to go PCHS!!!

Um, Ahem....

Awesome! I love it!

My thoughts and prayers go out to this family while they mourn for their loss. May they find peace and strength during this difficult time.
