My biggest concern with Windows 8 is that I always seem to have problems with running programs that I've downloaded from the internet. There was one of those websites for making your own photo books and in order to do it you had to install a program from their website, and after downloading I could never get it to run. And there's been countless other problems of that type. Also, when on the Internet sometimes the browser will just close for no reason. It's difficult to find anything because the entire set up is totally different. I do not like Windows 8!

Happy Birthday to the both of you!

It was a scripted show portrayed as a documentary based on theories and ideas by other scientists. I doubt there was much truth to this show at all. This show is very deceptive to people who think the entire thing is solid fact. And yes, the History channel, Discovery channel, TLC, and Animal Planet have all become a joke.

Looking at other cities and states that have tried this same maneuver I ran across an article with this statement, which is a very good point: "...code on bicycle licensing is both useless and unnecessarily burdensome for both the Police Departments or the Fire Department who have enough problems to contend with on their ever shrinking budget instead of chasing after a tiny percentage of the population to check whether the riders have the appropriate paperwork based on their bicycle." Furthermore, I think that this mandatory registration will discourage and decrease bicycle riding in gene

Ah, okay gotcha. Are all in ones typically touch screens as well?

When you say "all in one" are you referring to laptops? Never heard that term before. Portability is the number one reason to get a laptop. If you don't care about that then I'd say just go with the desktop.

Oh honey, unless your lining their pockets, not a damn one of them gives a shiit about you, democrat, republican, independent, or whatever.

I watched the clip you linked. I thought is was very moving and it warmed my heart to see the player honoring this young man. There definitely is good in this world.

Hahaha. For some reason the movie Anchorman comes to mind when reading this article.

The issue I see here is that the school feels they must discipline these boys for something that should be handled by the parents. I'm not okay with a school "parenting" my child. They had no business enforcing a long term suspension for something that took place on private property. And because of this the parents now have to find some kind of way to continue their education while they are out of school, i.e. home schooling, tutoring. ETA: Once the child steps on that bus and is in the care of the school then it's perfectly fine for him/her to be reprimanded for breaking any rules.

Anyone know why he did it?

You've got to be kidding me! I hope the parents take some sort of action against the school. This right here is just bullshiit: "The school's so-called "zero-tolerance" policy on guns extends to private property, according to the report." And didn't the school year just start? Guess they'll have to repeat the seventh grade.

  I can't stand HOAs either. I'm not the type of person that would be okay with someone telling me what I can and cannot do with my own property. And as far as the issue of protecting the value of the property, that is the responsibility of the owner, not any organization.

When I was 18 I drove myself to college everyday which was at the top of the perimeter. 285 to 400 every day in rush hour traffic. The very first time I ever drove on the interstate was with my mom in the passenger seat. I understand what your saying. If my son was a teenager with a new license I wouldn't want him to drive without me in the car making sure he was driving safely and responsibly until I felt comfortable that I knew he would be fine doing it by himself. But at the same time, they have to start somewhere. They have to be able to gain the experience to handle the traffic a
