WSBTV is reporting a head on crash on 92 near Brownsville Road in which several persons including a child were seriously injured. They said the road would probably be closed for two or more hours. Here is the link to the WSBTV story: pubby

In what some observers are saying could change attitudes on what love is okay and what isn't, the Pope will publish his views in his "Amoris Laetitia" ... or guide book on the Joy of Love. Not an encyclical - which is considered an expression of Church doctrine - the "Amoris Laetitia" will instruct priests and the church on issues like whether couples who remarry without annulments can take communion or even if gay marriages may be recognized. Here is a snip from the article announcing this in the NYTimes. One thing for sure is that no matter what the Pope says, the culture wars

I did set your posts invisible, low. Hated to do it but you can't argue with a stupid robot. pubby

Google, which used zero intelligence and no common sense in flagging the site without seeking some kind of context for the brand name drug list ... to them it is spam, period ... will take its sweet easy old time removing the 'warning' ... Hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow. pubby

Thad: You didn't copyright surepip ... you trademarked it. these are similar code sections all handled by the patent and trademark office, but the key thing about copyright is that it is automatic at the moment creative is fixed in some recognized medium. I.e. a song strummed on the street with no recording is public domain but if there is a recording, even a kid with a flip phone records the song, that recording is copyrighted. Scratch down a novel on twenty rolls of toilet paper using a pen with bodily fluids for ink ... and that work and derivatives of it are protected by copyrig

I'm going to go ahead and set that 2015 topic invisible because I can't determine a way to consciously object to the pro-forma googlebot censorship. I will say that I am not a fan of the drug companies and the notion that discussing otc and prescription drugs efficacy and the like should not be censored just because a member copy and pasted a list of qualifying concoctions. My apologies to you SDnana and Lowrider, but censoring you apparently is the only way to get the big red warning page removed. pubby

Checked into it and Starr and Drews nanna ... you (and lowrider) are to blame, apparently. Seems that Google is trying to have me 'censor' you for this post which, in 'their computers Artificial intelligence mind' ... thinks your post was spammy ... and that must have come from someone doing a sql injection which makes pcom dangerous. Yep, you make it 'dangerous' Here's lowrider's link: which was in response to your post and you replied. Here is the pertinent part of the google reasoning. Bottom line, from what I can see this was a legit discussion (tell me differently

I've not done anything in this regard and the securi monitor says it is clear. I did get the same phishing notice when I went there on chrome. I'll have the securi folks check it out. pubby

Do not forget hwy 61 south will be shut down
gpatt0n replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I went there today to see what happened and ran over a couple of steel plates ... the type they use to cover the roadway after they excavate a tunnel, probably for drainage or some other utility. Anyway, you'll see two steel plates just north of the Nebo road/61 intersection. pubby -
GD, I got to say two things. First that was funny. Second, to even have that thought in that context tells me more than I want to know about you. pubby

You will learn a great deal from his experience and thank you for sharing. I remember taking my dad to see the cardiologist and he insisted on walking the distance ... probably 100 yards of halls ... to get to the practitioners office. Suffering from congestive heart failure, he was he slow as molasses but refused to sit in wheel chair and let me get him there in a twentieth of the time (or less.). Of course I'm complaining and I used a phrase I have been using for much of my life that has almost become an axiom of my existence. The statement is simply "any fool can be uncomfortable"

My problem is that I have tried to upgrade to 10 on one machine three times and I continually get "system thread exception not handled" and the system goes into a series of reboots. I did it last fall, last winter and now this spring figuring that what ever bug - I know it reported what was going on to them automatically as it searched for a fix - would be fixed and I would at last have an uneventful upgrade. I had done some research on it and figured it may have been the video card (AMD Radeon 5700) driver. the problem was that every time I upgraded the video drivers I would lose HDMI s

The real 'rub' here is enforcement. I know that men often use a stall to pee ... for the sake of privacy ... so too could a trans woman. Are you suggesting that men who tinkle in the toilet in a sitting position be stood up and checked? Ditto trans men in women's toilets. The fact is the people who would try to discover if someone is trans or not by peeking in, reaching in or other otherwise visually or physically assaulting the person they wonder about are the ones who are dangerous. The point is that because the law empowers the freakishly intrusive nosey busybody, this ne -

That is a character trait of dogs, for sure. But I like the part highlighted below because it is the part that you and others in the anti crowd just totally discount. I would say it more like this: It is the height of arrogance to believe ... The distortion of what is common practice and characterizing it as criminal is the root of the problem and the source of ill feeling. pubby -
You'll find that the ones wishing to make money from the operation are the ones pushing for it. Beyond that, the double mastectomy would have been a great loss to mankind pubby

What happened at Commissioner's meeting?
gpatt0n replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It was, with the help of the FAA, footing the costs ... until those intent on wrecking the deal did a pretty good job of giving them cold feet. If it was your intention to fly to Jackson TN or Shreveport LA - and there are no longer flights to those locations from HJIA ... except by going to Chicago or Denver, then to these places on a hopper that had you landing in Lawton OK and El Dorado, AR. ... or some such ... you'd find your way here. These are opportunities but they are non-existent as long as the commitment of the county is to resistence instead of progress. pubby -

Been saying this for a couple of years. Whitey, the runway is capable of handling much heavier planes than anticipated. Length of the runway at 6000 ft. is the greater determinant of what planes can and cannot land here. I don't know that they've done a full stress test on the runway but it is significantly more capable than the stated/advertised weight carrying capacity. Considering that FAA is upset with Delta and HJIA because they've suspended service to dozens of smaller airports and instead used the gates released to bring in aircraft from very profitable internatio -
It looks to me like they may be finished with this before March 26th rolls around. They've repaved both ways all the way ... to the more recent repaving on Nebo at Dallas Nebo all the way to 92. Yesterday they were doing aprons ... adding asphalt to level the roadway into side roads and there was already the centerline paint. The full road paint job may take a while longer as I believe a separate unit with separate schedules does those projects. I know on old villa rica ... the paint job came about a month or so after repaving was complete. pubby

Ted Talk Bhutan seeks carbon negative effort to maximize GDH
gpatt0n replied to gpatt0n's topic in Wild side of the news
Yea, they realize that full bellies and full employment are aspects of happiness. Given over half the country is a natural/wildlife preserve where exploitation (mining, poaching, farming, etc.) is prohibited means they live in balance with nature. It is obvious to me you judge them harshly because they don't conform to your distorted expectations. Oh, btw, bye. pubby -
