  1. No actually sat ... your post with the sos site is remaining. The other was to wsb I believe ... at least that is what you said. I thought I fixed it. I will now. Thanks for the correction but when I made the correction, that made the post superfluous. pubby
  2. NJ: My problem was that I wasn't re-reading/editing the post ... because of the hurry to get it out. pubby
  3. Thanks NJ. Yes, I'm writing in a hurry... and I've made a few mistakes as my son is pulling my ear as well trying to get me to put in the password for xfinity so he can watch comics. pubby

  5. We'll update the above with actual votes with our next installment. I literally have to drive over to the courthouse and pick up the document and then return to the house to post the results. pubby
  6. ELECTION RUNDOWN Runoffs races are likely for a few of the more contestedlocal races but overall, incumbents seem to be leading asearly returns come in. The SPLOST looks like it is headedfor renewal with 60% of the voters favoring the self-imposedone-cent levy. Commission Chairman candidate David Carmichael is currentlyleading with 36.5% of the vote counted followed by RogerLeggett who is leading Virginia Galloway 27.2% to 22.4percent with 8.5 percent of the vote counted. RonDavis is leading Freeman by a factor of 2:1 and unless thereis a turnaround, looks to win re-election to Post 1. I
  7. I'm going to stop by the courthouse later this evening after dinner. I expect to post at least some results by 9:30 p.m. ... maybe a bit earlier. pubby
  8. Just voted at the courthouse ... The poll worker said it has been slow all day. pubby
  9. Tuesday, May 24 is Primary Election day ... the day in whichyou either vote Republican or you have no say about localgovernment as there are no Democrats contending for local orstate offices in Paulding county. Key races includes challenges for the District 19 andDistrict 17 State House seats; Commission Chairman, Post Icommissioner, school board, coroner and Superior Court Judgespots. Those choosing a Democratic Primary ballot will only be ableto vote for the non-partisan school board and judicialpositions. Additionally, all ballots will include a choice for continuation of the local speci
  10. Surepip: I think the shine on Diesel powered vehicles was tarnished a bit when Volkswagen had to admit that they had installed a separate testing routine in their computers that was designed to cover up some unacceptable levels of pollution inherent in diesel fueled vehicles. I.e. they aren't as clean as they were promised to be and the vehicles run inordinately bad when tuned to for pollution. I also think that ethanol-based/laced fuel is a short-lived bridge technology as combustion will be phased from production in the coming decade(s) first with hybrid but also with pure-play elec
  11. Yes, you are mistaken. That reference was in regard to the Cobb EMC BOD that effectively privatized the EMC by establishing a company they controlled and contracting with it so they could take individual profit from this 'new' company that was just 'adding' their slice to the cost that Cobb EMC members paid. Because the EMC was now at break-even or losing money (more for them) there were no more member dividends. In essence they were stealing the banked member dividends. If you missed that, it was quite a big deal three or was it five years ago. I really hate it when fol
  12. I got you... don't rock the boat. Don't say nothing because we conservatives who run this state are perfect. I don't feel guilty ... I just feel you folks are blind to reality. pubby
  13. Hardly Stonewall. I've been a member of no fewer than four electric coops and I'm quite aware of their history as liberally inspired institutions created by and during the New Deal for the benefit of rural dwellers. Like most institutions they are subject to 'capture' ... you know greedy bastards taking over the institution for their own benefit... kind of like the state of Georgia. You know, kind of like what happened to Cobb EMC a few years back. But, as a matter of fact, I've been a shareholder of Southern Company as well as a member of, at present and if you count the account
  14. I don't know dogs ... you folks have been less than welcoming to a lot of other folks too ... seems the folks you try to run off are those who don't agree with you. I've been going toe to toe with you folks because I have a belief that pcom should be for everyone. It has been painfully obvious to many that my desire for it to be that way was usurped by a cadre of folks who disagree and show their disagreement by being disagreeable. So, let me ask you this dogs ... why are you so disagreeable? pubby
  15. GD: I appreciate your evolving to such a high degree of equality but I doubt your assertion that things are that hunky dory in everyones mind. to wit: Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames.
  16. What we have here is a failure to communicate. What I've said all along is that we are all racists whether we admit it or not. The number of pure 'non-racists' souls among those of us who grew up in the south is miniscule as we are all the product of our culture. I've always contended that GD and Stradial et. al. took that observation too personally. Either that or this is a concerted effort to deny me the option to have that as an opinion. I can't tell which but I'm actually leaning toward the latter explanation ... i.e. they've been trying to run me off my own site for going
  17. The lobbyists for the power companies had the legislature write the law that lets them lease you their solar panels and they control the entire operation. There are discounts involved but compared to the cost/benefit accruing primarily to you (as in states where the power company is required to pay retail for the power you send them just as you pay retail for the power you get) they let you pay retail for the power you get and take a smaller portion - somewhat less than the wholesale value of the energy generated - of the value from the solar installation on your home/property. If you fin
  18. Was he still married to Ivana? That act of kindness was a long time ago. pubby
  19. For a guy who promised never to post here again over a year ago, you've proven basically that you don't like me. Not being a glutton for punishment and realizing that you are forever off the deep end. Bye. pubby

In this, theirinaugural episode of their video blog, they prime the pumpby saying that Greystone will be engaging its members withopportunities for solar power. 21. No one ever accused Donald Trump of being consistent. I didn't plagiarize Ralph Waldo Emerson ... Finally, what did a 12 minute video about Hillary Clinton have to do with the OP? pubby
  22. Let me take the same liberty with what you've said I've said and I'll say you are too stupid to speak in public. You think domestic violence is the right of a man over a woman and you like booting women in the ass because you are a buffoon that is so full of yourself you think you're funny because people are actually laughing at you. Can you believe that stradial actually thought he had a shot of being a human being rather than a neaderthal. That is how delusional he is. Notice he's blaming me for what the mods did ... Hey stradial, have you always been such a sour person? I will
  23. Actually it does make sense. The reason is that it is hard to picture burning anything in a barrel as recreational burning, which is permissible. Get a burn pit or something that appears to be a fun way to burn - i.e. a brick BBQ pit, etc. and burn your papers. You are not allowed to burn household trash and while paper can be a part of household trash, it can also be an easily combustible item. The main thing is to keep the fire relatively small and make sure things are fully burned (little or no smoke) as copious amount of smoke are a bother to neighbors who will report you.
  24. Wasn't Tundra defending Kersten's libertarian attitudes toward marijuana and now she's condemning Howard's lackluster support for gaming (I've never heard of him sponsoring a bill or supporting horse racing or casinos in the state. There is a word for it ... I think it starts with an 'H' ... dang pubby
