Nooo! I want the calls to STOP! Runoff possible in Gov Race
Blunt Trauma replied to The Sound Guy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I can only guess that either y'all ain't caught up with caller ID yet, or somehow kids and/or grandkids render one unable to NOT answer a ringing phone. Either way, I'll be out there next week trying to make that runoff happen. -
The Fly. 1958 Because somehow or other I saw that sucker, I think on TV, when I was like a preschooler. And I remember it hit me as being possible one day. I imprinted on that movie so hard that It's one of those things from your childhood that still flashes thru your memory every now and again. Still creeps me out.

First......Your right, I was speed reading back thru the article and put a location with the wrong name. It's the 3rd time I've linked it in answer to these questions and I got lazy. Second..........O........M.........G https://www.mcalistersdeli.com/menu/sandwiches/new-york-pastrami I made a little Homer Simpson noise when I saw this. Third.....What the heck, lets do the whole schmear. https://www.fastfoodmenuprices.com/mcalisters-deli-prices/

Everything he said there is true. With the exception of some fancy chemicals that are not much if any more effective, it's what a contractor is gonna do if you hire them. It's also about four times as hard as that sounds if your doing a crawl space. Get a young'en, tie a rope around their waist and watch them like a hawk. It's what kids is for ain't it?
-
Wish I could help. All I got for you is don't hire anyone for this without a solid recommendation from a trusted source. This right here is the gateway to the abyss if you get the wrong folks. 99 out of a 100% ain't going in to watch the work or repeatedly check on what someone might "find". Sorry for the spreading distrust, but if you see somebody reaching for a hole you know there might be a snake in.....well.

This ones a little long and kind of a stretch as to being a household kinda thing. And if you don’t have arthritis or love someone that does, it won’t interest you. So stop here. Okay, now that it’s just us old folks and caregivers, let's talk pain. All I can do is speak from my perspective and how I deal with what I got. So this may not work for you, but lord if it does it’s worth trying. Hang on and you'll see. It turns folks off to start in with the details and crying about what's wrong with you. Let’s boil it down to this. Things have been bad again for slightly over a year…….. this h

A something to do thread. It's fall and you've got stuff that's gotta be burned. Now the last time you or someone you know did this with a gas can. And for a couple of months you or they got made fun of for not having any eyebrows. Have I got the solution for you. Cheaper and you keep your eyebrows. Or in my case, maybe everything hanging from mid chest level to the eyebrows. You'll need an empty toilet paper roll, a used but dry baggy, (or you rich folks up to Crossroads can use a new one [#uppity]), and your dryer lint. As you clean the lint out of your dryer, stuff it into the empty to

I'm now officially less worried about the coming robot uprising. Cause now I'm convinced we ain't gonna make it there. Some idjit in China's gonna melt the world first. BGR: China wants to put a big fake moon in orbit to reflect sunlight back down at night. http://bgr.com/2018/10/18/china-fake-moon-satellite-mirror-plan/

The robots will have to pry the super soaker from my cold dead hands after the uprising.

Governor announces new aviation school at Paulding airport.

Now, now. Lets not be "size shaming" the airport. I know how it feels. You don't mind it so much when they laugh, but you hate it when they point. -

All I see in that is at least 2 more law suits the county will be a party too. Just more mud in the water. No matter what is done this all ends up a string of decisions made in courtrooms. Count back the number of announcements that were supposed to decide this whole thing one way or the other. Hopefully we'll get a little something out of this one to mitigate the costs. -
Loved this town. If Florida became an option, I intended it to be there. The video from helicopters on CNN and especially TWC are heartbreaking.

They've run out of things to say. A Fox News reporter just noted that there has been no mandatory evacuation of central Georgia.

Your problem may well have started out as builders trash. But from what you describe its now more related to water. Dirt has to be carried away by something, even if its just further down the hole. Three things move dirt. Wind, water and gravity. Compaction of dirt into a hole can bridge over gravity until acted upon. If you didn't run over the filled hole and wind can't get to it, it's water.

Time, place and what's the chant?

If what the article states is there is actually what the problem is, then you're right about the landfill, probably, kinda. It's the same thing you see in old sub divisions before building codes. They buried everything that should have been burn pitted or hauled off. The unlucky soul who buys that lot ends up with a sink hole and bad foundation. The ironic part is they were building to house the office that handles inspections of those codes. It would take access to the "as built" plans of the courthouse to answer your question. We could get way yonder in the weeds on blasting, but it all

Annual Gnat Thread or My Necks Redder Than Yours
Blunt Trauma replied to Blunt Trauma's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Fine. Y'all don't wanna talk gnats, let's try this. If you get a DUI in a wheelchair, which you can, what then? -
We usually have a thread to complain about these dang little bugs you can't see till they fly in your face. The ones you can't figure out where they're coming from or how they're getting in. They don't swarm anything, usually there aren't even enough of'em to call a "swarm". Just enough to annoy the fool out of ya. Even if you use a fogger and then have to clean up after, they come right back. Most years I've been pretty zen about'em. But I'm fairly certain my patience ain't what it used to be. This year they were just on my last nerve. So the other night as I'm about to fall asleep, I th

The money end wouldn't come until the construction phase. I'd like to know if there's any relationship between the engineer/planner and the contractor.I suspect incompetence as opposed to greed though.
