I guess the state vs the city of Memphis are perhaps two different animals. I've always enjoyed my trips to the state. I'll say this much, Graceland is there. One year, two girlfriends and I did a road trip to follow The Vicksberg Pilgrimage. GREAT TRIP! Anyway, we stopped in Memphis because none of us had been there. There was a custom made "fly" mask on Elvis's horse . One that protected the horses eyes from the pot shots people had made from the road. That's some sick stuff right there.

I had a good friend who moved there for a job. She happened to be African American. First time I spoke to her after her moving there...she was in tears. She said she felt like she had moved to a time warp......and as far as communication with both black and white folks......she felt like it was 1952. She could not get out of there fast enough. She HATED it there. I'm glad she was able to get out.

I'm sorry for your pain LR. Try and celebrate your love for your Mom. I'm sure she would not want you to be unhappy. I know you miss her terribly but you will never lose your memories because they live in your heart and soul. You will be in my thoughts today.

Yeah, it's a bit away. I love the drive through. Really, it's some of the prettiest land around. I take 101. 116 is real pretty too. I get goofed up connecting to Rome from Cartersville sometimes. Eta, the view of the power plant with the background of pastures and cows looks like a past and present life magazine cover to me. That's on 101.

I'm glad you understand. There was nothing else in the pipeline. It's not an Obama thing for me, it's a people thing. The premise was to organize the information and then let the free market supply the premium costs. The more people involved, the more the costs would go down. It made sense to me. It's a baby step, but I believe it's a baby step in the right direction.
