I know scouters from Mountain Lake and Picketts Mill that are attending. I loaned gear to a female from Paulding that attends with a Mountain Lake Troop. I am well experienced in winter camping. I grew up in Western NC and hike in winter often. It is not that I have not wanted to go over the past 5 years as a scout leader - problem is my wife as she feels scouting is for kids. Have fun.

12 degrees is nothing! I spent my birthday up on Mt. Mitchell at -16 when I was a teen. That was the life. I had a scouter come over and borrow some gear last night. My wife won't let me go to SWC since scouts is for kids....

earned Eagle in 1980. I have not seen any 110 year old scouts in Paulding....

the county transfer station will not be affected when/if a new private facility is built in the city of dallas limits

my understanding is that this would not be the typical transfer station like the county has near Seven Hills. I always thought it was just for private haulers to dump and consolidate before the trash is loaded up and sent on to its final home. I don't recall any further info from this since it was denied several years ago. I don't know if the City of Dallas has their minutes on line or not - that would be the place to look.

my guess would be torque converter is sticking and keeping the vehicle in gear go back to the transmission shop

My friend, our youth pastor at church, recently got a new Droid phone. We went to dinner the other night and he was showing us all the features. His favorite is the speech engine. He asked the google app to find him some "Route 66 Boots" that his wife wanted for Christmas. Guess what the app thought he said and what the search results came up with?

I thought it was funny that he said he was nothing like Russell the player in real life. Anyone vain enough to want to pay for title has some issues in life. I think it is called the Napoleon complex. While I enjoyed watching him cut all but one down, I do appreciate honesty as well.

I am hoping that someone has priced hot water heaters recently and can save me the leg work. I need a 40 gal. natural gas unit for a needy family. Home Depot is too expensive. Are there other supply houses that you may have found with something cheaper? TIA

I don't get it on the bridge. If the if the schools were not there, then the kids would be riding towards Cedarcrest, to get to Shelton, Moses, or East Paulding high, right? Is the OP suggesting that all dead end roads be abolished?

pubby, I have been on this board over 5 years. With this statement, you seem to say that your door is always open if anyone wants to come in and bare all. Seems on past occasions (I guess depending on what/who the story involved) you were out pounding the pavement to get the news. My guess is you are withholding info. Remember that Santa is watching!
