  1. It always starts off as "just to work and back". Then, before you know it you're taking it on vacation because of the money you'll save, so on and so forth. I guess I'm just saying make sure that you only take on as many bills as one single income can cover at any given time. Make sure that the benefit of your wife taking a job such a long distance away is worth the investment. Obviously, even at $10/hour you're making a profit after paying for the new car, but now you have a child staying with family that seems less than accomedating, a child with some difficultly already and a pretty bi
  2. I'm going on the assumption that you've worked out the net value to your family of the misses taking this job, after taxes, but here's my two cents. Leases are tricky - especially if you start to factor in long commutes. I guess what is a sticking point for me is that you're really sharpening the pencil for $300/month - all and all. I would hope that your wife taking a job so far away would be to make such small amounts of money inconsequential. Now, that said I have no idea where she was work or the past circumstances, so I might be speaking out of turn. Just know that when you buy
  3. People trying to conceive. I'm not a fan of JustMommies. Anyone have any advice?

  5. She's been banned from the courthouse!!
  6. Yeah, they were having an affair...but, I don't think it was an ideal affair for her. She liked the attention, distraction, etc. and she gave in a time or 2 while traveling.
  7. The creep factor is high with this one.
  8. Oh honey - I've got so many damn mexicans on the payroll...I have no problem paying people to do any kind of labor, Lord knows I'm not going to do it. But, since people only have trees removed once, maybe twice, in their lives, I'm not exactly up on the current pricing trends.
  9. I guess I just don't relate. It's been a very long time since any one off situations would cause a job loss for me. If I'm out, I'm out. If I'm working 80 hours a week, I'm working 80 hours a week. No one really cares - so long as the job gets done. Even if I had to miss something huge, like a quarterly business review, if there's a compelling reason, then so be it. Certainly I would leave if my child was in a car accident or if someone passed away...but, I'm not going to lose my crap in the office when cousin Bill's third wife passes away in hospice from the 8 year battle with the cancer
  10. Extended family member? As in cousin? Depends on how close. I'm not going to the funeral just because it's a day off of work - and don't act like there aren't a ton of people that do a happy dance when someone dies so that they can make an appearance and still get paid. First point - obviously my kid will come first, but if women didn't shack up with any ole' boy and have babies then there should be 2 people (plus extended family) to share the burden and therefore mitigate risk to any one person's job...just a thought.
  11. I paid $4000 to have 20 some odd taken down...$400 sounds steep. It's up there, but not wildly massive. Sigh.
  12. It's dead. It's not huge, but it's not small. I need it taken down asap - in Cobb. Is going rate for a single pine tree removal really starting at $400????
  13. Sigh - life isn't black and white. There's no either/or.
  14. This didn't happen overnight. This definitely didn't happen in isolation. Like so many, there were a lot of people that failed her, many times...and even more that exploited her for personal gain. Bobby Brown comes to mind - there's a special place for him in hell. As for the drug use - I think that these talents fall to it for a variety of reasons, but I think that the talent and the creativity is more than the average human being can imagine. Especially with people like Amy Winehouse or Janis Joplin - they were so full of color, I almost wonder if drugs helped them to mentally cope with
  15. Where was everyone when this Whitney was around? She would have been better of to stay on crack - it's much more predictable than Rx. Sad, folks. Sad indeed.
  16. Is Sugar sync part of Sugar CRM? Does Dropbox allow you to create files? I really would love the attachment feature. It would be ideal to be able to attach a notes file to the Outlook meeting. We use SFDC, but I don't really want things to live in there as then I'll have to be careful what my notes state. Plus, it would limit me only to client activity and I need to be able to record notes on internal meetings and then to sync them up with resulting tasks.
  17. This is common practice. I make it a habit to look at McD's in all the countries I travel, they're all different food. Most are much more coffee house
  18. I need a really good business management app. I've heard about dropbox, any reviews? I need to be able to take notes during meetings and create tasks, preferably tasks that would then link in with my Outlook. Any thoughts? Oh, this is for iPad and iPhone, I'm an iIdiot, so I don't know if that's one and the same.
  19. Today is my last day, as I move on to greener pastures. I had fun, a lot of fun, and most of all I am really going to miss working with my bestie everyday! So, in honor...
  20. That was a bit of a quip...the cotillion thing goes WAYYYYYY back!
  21. First - my dog will be getting spayed next Tuesday at 8am. Secondly, my son is officially registered for cotillion.
  22. More wise spending. It's really no wonder the world laughs at us...
