dumbestgirlintheworld replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
She sued McDonalds, and won. But the amount was lowered to $480K. That must be a different case that your sil study - though you're right, there was a legal right to compensation. -
I'm working towards getting the 5 series convertible - and it I plan on driving that baby every damn day. But to each their own for sure! The corvettes are nice cars! I don't mind the new ones nearly as much as the older ones...and I really like the classic corvette!

http://www.ajc.com/news/content/business/s...age_tab_newstab The lawsuit alleges that KFC promised customers two pieces of grilled chicken, two individual sides and a biscuit. But the promotion, which was promoted on the “Oprah Winfrey Show,” generated more demand than KFC could supply. And although customers who were denied their right to free food were given vouchers, Asanuma’s suit says that’s not good enough. The suit calls the tactic “bait and switch” and said customers incurred “travel costs, paper and printing costs, postage, the money they spent on other food items at KF

This is the BEST THING EVER!!!!! -
That's about on par with Atlanta. It is 4 bedrooms!

That would have likely helped and/or prevented the situation.

Heck yes! If my son was brave enough, I would probably let him - but he's 7 and I don't see him digging on being on a plane alone. I always fly with him to and from his gma's.

Anyone gotten the Palm Pre yet?
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That is funny!!!! -
I agree that 10 is too young, still this is a terrible thing to happen to a child and I'm really shocked that it happened with Continental - the best airline out there. I have personally seen Continental go above and beyond to ensure the safe transportation of minors on SEVERAL occasions. The one thing that is certain is that the child was in good hands while on the plane and once in Newark. They have a great staff and I'm sure that the flight attendants mitigated any risk. They put him on the wrong plane, but don't assume that they didn't know that they were in custody of a minor.

I'm a treo user -- anyone gotten the Pre yet? I think I'm going to go pick one up this weekend, but I wanted to see if there were any reviews from other Palm users.

PCSO seeks information on Saturday night shooting
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I understand that - however it's easier for kids to write what they know than to phone it in. Plus, the perception with youth is that all phone can be traced whereas email cannot (yes, I'm aware that it can be). I'm just saying, give kids another way to get in touch that they will perceive as "safer". -
PCSO seeks information on Saturday night shooting

When I was growing up, there was a "gang" called La Famiglia. The sister of the "leader" of this gang was one of my closest friends. They caused mischief, went around the carnivals (much like they do at the county fairs here) and caused trouble. In retrospect, this group of boys wasn't really what you'd expect to see on Gangland. Until (I can't believe that I'm admitting this ), one of the boy's knifed another boy at a car club meeting I was at. I saw it, knew who did it, and by the grace of God, I only had to hold this information for less than 24 hours before someone ELSE did give him up. -
