  1. Fly. Bora Bora is in the South Pacific near Australia. Flight is 16 long hours. I'm curious why you want to go to Dubai? I have heard such terrible things since the economy went south. I actually have an opportunity to go over there, but I passed because of what I'd been hearing - is it not as bad as I'm hearing?
  2. We will be ringing in 2010 in this beautiful place!
  3. Well, it's a close second to OC. I think I like it because I spend so much time in Jersey! I've had dinner with women like that! So, it seems more real to me! "If you're not familiar with table flipping than you're probably not from Jersey"...LOVE IT!

  5. This show is spectacular! The season finale was total awesomeness. Jersey trash at it's finest! Loved it! Danielle is a tramp, but I want her book!
  6. No, there are not women and children at this facility. The occasional teenager, but it's an all men's facility. Women and children go to Gateway (where Thomas lived for a while). Honestly, I think that free water is the least that the city could do.
  7. I don't worry about skydiving, mostly cause I want to do it SO bad myself! I do worry about the lake and things like that...where more accidents happen. I will be doing lots of cleaning...LOTS. And studying!
  8. It's a bit more complex than that...I certainly think that access to these places make the general public safer.
  9. I might just take you up on that!!! I can't stand being in the house without him. Feels like I have no purpose!
  10. And I just cried to a Drive By Truckers song. About General Wallace. At work. Yep, gonna be a long 2 weeks.
  11. I have. I'm not a fan of Apple for many reasons, but the fact that you can run multiple apps is really the biggest difference. You just run through them like a deck of cards.
  12. If you've ever worked in Atlanta's homeless community, you know about P'tree and Pine. Well, it looks like Atlanta is finally taking a harder line in shutting down the facility - they've terminated their water for not paying $170K water bill. Atlanta has wanted to shut it down for a while now. It's a cesspool, sure...but it also houses and feeds about 300 men every night. And these aren't your desirable types. These are serious addicts, mentally ill and unstable, delusional, and probably criminal homeless. I wonder if Atlanta is prepared to have these folks wandering the streets every nig
  13. Alright, so I got it...and...I LOVE IT! It's so incredible! There aren't a lot of "kid things" on it. There's only a handful of ringtones, etc. BUT, you can run multiple applications, it has a killer GPS, wi-fi, it also syncs all email accounts AND calendars. It has an app to sync your Microsoft world too. The camera is AWESOME! The applications run like cards. You just flick them away when you want to close them. By far, the best part is how it can take things from everywhere and combine it in one place. Whether I get a new text or a new email, the alerts come to one spot. It
  14. I average 2500 minutes a month and 1500 text messages!
  15. Kids are curious. And quite honestly, ecstasy (MDMA) had wide applications in the psychological field for a long time. It was quite therapeutic in managing depression and was used to help marriage counseling. Don't fall prey to the 'War Against Drugs', it's manufactured BS. Knowledge is power. Problem is since the war on drugs is such a big deal, the stuff that is making it's way in is crap - and slung to unknowing buyers, our children. I'm not an advocate for drugs by any means, but they're out there and we have to protect children. Anyhow, from what I read it's only been found it Mitsub
  16. I don't do this. I don't have kids doing this. BUT - I do stay up on drugs because of my volunteer work. Aside from that, I'm a parent. ALL parents should be aware of what's out there, especially with respect to 'party drugs'. If we don't know, we can't scare the holy hell out of them about it.
  17. So do kids know to be on the look out for it? I did the whole "web reading" thing, but I wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience. Do the kids know about it? Are they scared about it? Or do they want to take it? Seems like it has more hallucinogenic properties which might be appealing to some youth. Is it known by kids that one tablet is risky, more than that is very, very fatal? Kids are going to use drugs, I'm just wondering if the kids are aware before they consume.
  18. I was forwarded a story about PMA, which is being passed around as Mitsubishi Ecstasy pills. I try to stay as current as I can on drugs that are popular with teens, but this one is new to me. It seems to be very heavily circulated in Florida (where I'm from). Have you guys ever heard of this?
  19. So, I ran home today to find a roofer on my roof. Apparently, my neighbor had him checking her roof for damage as we had a bad storm back in April. There was enough on her roof to ask him to check mine while I was out. Now they want to replace my roof. They'll waive the deductible, and put 35 year architectural shingles on - I have 20 year now (they're 5 years old). So, how do I go about verifying this damage? Will my insurance adjuster be fair, or will he be working in the best interest of the insurance company? I don't want to call another roofing company, as it would make sense to use
