  1. Shoot I could have told you not to go to the city. I can't remember a time when it wasn't like that. Glad you made it back.
  2. I saw the Home Depot is hiring.
  3. Well that will balance me out again. Thank you, and have a wonderful night!!
  4. My two oldest started school knowing how to read. Matter of fact they were both reading at a 2nd grade level in kindergarten. No, they did not go to pre-k, but because of their ability to read they did much better then their classmates. Youngest did go to pre-k, I haven't seen any difference in his abilities and grades then my oldest.
  5. This doesn't make sense. Why would y'all do that? Will you have a contest for the most inane posters? Two of the meanest and vile posters haven't even come in yet, but give them time I'm sure they will.
  6. Yes, I have. I agree with you. An ambulance chaser, say it isn't so!!! I didn't look at the site is it Binder and Binder?
  7. I'm not discounting her claims, because she hasn't made any except it is the law that the child gets an education. Other then that you and I agree.
  8. She could still fall into either of them. She has a doctor's note that states that she has this allergy problem. Again they could also use the K-12 program which has two parts, a private school and a public school option. The parents are expecting the school to change for their child. What gives them the right to do that? I call BS on the "well it's the law" there are alternatives.
  9. http://www.fldoe.org/ese/hh.asp A homebound or hospitalized student is a student who has a medically diagnosed physical or psychiatric condition which is acute or catastrophic in nature, or a chronic illness, or a repeated intermittent illness due to a persisting medical problem and that confines the student to home or hospital, and restricts activities for an extended period of time. The corresponding definition is found in State Board of Education Rule 6A-6.03020, Florida Administrative Code (FAC) https://www.flrules.org/gateway/ruleNo.asp?id=6A-6.03020 See she can st
  10. Let's see 20 kids eating peanut butter, one kid not. I say she can go out of the room. I know that you think that everyone should bend over backwards for a few. I get nauseous around McDonald's I even go out of my way so I don't pass a Micky Ds. Just the smell makes me want to vomit. If a group of coworkers or friends wanted to go to MD I don't go with them or if they bring it back I leave the break room. It would be an infringement for me to insist that they never eat McDs around me. I'm looking at this the same way.
  11. Get a freaking grip. Yea, I care about every freaking kid, stray puppy and homeless person in the whole freaking world. The problem is not that the kid has a "right" to a free education or whatever else, it's that the parents are allowing the kids allergy to become the reason for what ever failure might come along later. I have seen it happen before. I also have a kid that has an issue. He tried to use it as an excuse for things. No way in heck was I going to let that happen. My point (because I know you have a comprehension problem) is the parents are setting the kid up to use her allerg
  12. Speaking about gun laws. OK. no I can't help you, I just thought this was funny in light of the other topic.
  13. For a Dawg fan your OK. Read my siggy.
  14. What happened to the disabled people who insisted that everyone treat them normally? I grew up with a girl that was in a wheel chair (spina bifida), and she wouldn't let anyone do anything for her. Don't misunderstand if she needed help she would ask, but for the most part she was very self sufficient. We aren't planning to move anywhere. We're just going to be pushed, it's called PC. If the parents in the OP don't get a grip, their little angel will soon become a monster.
  15. I still want to know what data "they" want, and what would "they" use it for?
  16. I understand what your saying. Just wanted to point out that the kids aren't being wiped down, the desk and such are. Now, if the teacher wipes the desk just before your child sits at it then your child will be affected. Oh, and that was my first thought too. My kid isn't allergic to anything really (grass bothers him sometimes) but, I would have a problem with bleach being used to wipe him down. Yes, I did read the whole story and know that they aren't wipe down the children.
  17. Sweet Potato. Oh math, noooooooooooo I'm running away.
  18. Well they could always install those bio-filter things at all entrances. OK I'm making light of this, but I have to agree with LTD on this. I'm also sure that as the child gets older if she doesn't grow out of this she will be mighty uncomfortable.
  19. That's what I'm wondering too. The statement is to open ended.
  20. Let me get this right. People develop the land and woods where these animals live, and as long as these animals stay in the woods and such they are wonderful, beautiful etc. But, when they wonder into the new housing area they become the pest? Seems to me people are the pest. The other thing I find funny is some people who complain about the wild life are the same people who let their pets run loose. Cats can be kept indoors, and small dogs go out to potty and come back in. Just so you know, feral cat colonies fill a need. They keep the rodents down. Why don't you trap and release? Yo
  21. DH love the classic Jelly Beans. Circus Peanuts are the best, and I will be on the hunt for the hiding eggs candy later.
  22. Prayers added. I heard this song the other day. I hope the chorus helps; Oh no, You never let go Through the calm and through the storm Oh no, You never let go In every high and every low Oh no, You never let go Lord, You never let go of me Christian lyrics - YOU NEVER LET GO LYRICS - MATT REDMAN
  23. When you mention Dion Sanders to a team of 11/12 year olds and they say "who?"
