  1. No, really why is it important in America, and not so much in Mexico?
  2. I know, we still miss our pet, and would take said rooster. But, we don't have a place to keep him. No, still don't know how to resize pictures.
  3. Families means NO baby daddy in the home. Even if as a intact family you qualify as far as income, if daddy is in the home you don't get jack. If I had known how to get around that when we needed help.......no,I still couldn't have done it.
  4. I agree. Slight hijack- It was really nice meeting you. Sorry I didn't post it earlier, what with wedding plans, and such. I've been a bit scatterbrained. Hijack over.
  5. You know they have hormone therapy for what seems to ail you. To the OP I would love to take him, but I don't have anywhere to put him right now.
  6. I saw that "hat?" on the one and thought WTH? Did some of the women just like wake up, and say where is the most ridiculous head wear I own. Wonder if I wore a baseball cap if that would have been acceptable?
  7. Yea, that whole 3-4 hr drive is a bit much. Thank you I love the girls and miss them.
  8. We're fine. Just some debris in the yard. I have everyone in my prayers that has lost loved ones. Everyone in my family is fine. Family in Alabama is fine too.
  9. Well it's all quite now, and Megan has settled down, So maybe it has petered out. There is still some wind.
  10. Great now 3 of my dogs are stressing. I am not liking this at all. Well at least our supplies are already down in the crawl space.
  11. Ah ha I knew it. Back home we always made that run when a hurricane was comin. You do have your emergency kit together though? Right?
  12. Did every one get to the store? I needed milk, but I ain't goin no where now. We have rain, wind and thunder right now. Seriously though. Make sure that you have your emergency kit stocked. Don't forget any meds that you take everyday. If you have pets make sure you have leashes and collars handy. Don't forget about a crate for your cats and small children. Y'all stay safe.
  13. Well, now it's moot. He passed away yesterday. I had about 20 of those feeder gold fish in my pond. Every day I would go out and look, there would be at least 1, sometimes 2 bodies floating. There only seemed to be one fish that was kinda suspicious. But, alas he to is dead and I have no more fish.......in my pond.
  14. It's a Cuterebra fly larva. You really don't want to leave it and let it fester. If one of the dogs gets another take it to the vet so they can remove it. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=11+1290&aid=3000 As far as the bark stripping squirrels. I haven't the first clue. If they're doing that to any of our trees It wouldn't matter because we are surrounded by trees. Now, if anyone can tell me what to do about a serial killing fish.
  15. I thought this was a union issue. Imagine that a company that not only wants to STAY IN THE USA, but also wants to provide JOBS. The union doesn't like it b/c SC is a right to work state and they (the union) will lose MONEY. If I owned a company I would never in a million years open a business in a union state. Guess I would be right here in Gods country, the SOUTH.
  16. Cool looking frog. I'll bet we have a gazillion of them. We have a lot of trees around us. Any way that is a cool frog.
  17. The water department. We had mail delivered today. That's how I know the water department was closed.
  18. My BFF and my daughter use it in their chosen job. Kinda important when you dig up bones in anthropology. Oh shoot, I forgot carbon is also Diamonds in the rough. http://education.jlab.org/itselemental/ele006.html Carbon, the sixth most abundant element in the universe, has been known since ancient times. Carbon is most commonly obtained from coal deposits, although it usually must be processed into a form suitable for commercial use. Three naturally occurring allotropes of carbon are known to exist: amorphous, graphite and diamond.
  19. Oh yes, I loved the fresh smell of the papers. I remember if it rained, my paper would get wet (not that it had a bad grade *c*) accidentally.
