  1. Just added to Georgia Tornado. Did you only go to my post and not see the other that I replied to?
  2. Awe congratulations!!!!! So when's the adoption party???
  3. Just thought I'd add Army Pvt. Ryan L. Larson Died June 15, 2011 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom 19, of Friendship, Wis.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; died June 15 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
  4. Well if that's truly the way you feel about it. I guess you won't be taking the tax credits on YOUR taxes next year. Why shouldn't any company or individual for that matter not take all the legal deductions it/they can? As far as the ILLEGAL (capped because some people don't get it) immigrants, that's a different argument for a different day. For the record I think that they shouldn't all be sent packing.
  5. Seems like these breaks aren't all there cracked up to be. http://www.factcheck...any-tax-breaks/ Q: What kind of tax breaks does the U.S. give to oil companies and to corporations that send jobs overseas? A: Companies with overseas subsidiaries can keep their income untaxed by the IRS if they don't transfer that revenue back to the U.S. Oil and gas companies received tax breaks and subsidies from a 2005 energy bill, but the bill led to a net tax increase for them. FULL QUESTION: When Democratic presidential candidates talk about tax breaks for corporations that s
  6. I told my 30 year old, who was 12 at the time "if it's that important in one year, then it can be done." He got his ear pierced for his 13th birthday. Make him wait a year. That way you know it's not just a passing phase.
  7. It's going to be an AWESOME football season!!!
  8. Also pets can die of heatstroke. Please bring them indoors or make sure they have A LOT of water and shelter.
  9. I think we had a topic on a local store that was doing the same thing.
  10. Is as close to fresh squeezed with out having to squeeze it your self. I love the stuff, just can't justify the expense. When I do buy it, it is a treat.
  11. Both of my oldest received their GEDs. Not all of the kids that dropout are losers who squander what was "free." A lot of them are smarter then the other kids, and yes even the teachers. The public school system is woefully inadequate to handle kids who are more intelligent then the average kid. DD and her husband are homeowners. She is a mom, and a student at KSU. DS went in to the Marines, and is now building a business with DSIL, another GED graduate. How many 25,27, and 30 year olds do you know that have accomplished as much?
  12. We got some rain. I would love for it to rain some more. If your going to be in the heat, remember to keep hydrated.
  13. Call Critter Catchers. They took care of our bat problem. They were very helpful, professional, and reasonably priced.
  14. Your right. How bout inaction? Nothing like continuing the tax them out of the country policies. Really that couldn't be the reason they would leave. Oh, and how bout sending billions of TAX dollars to Mexico, Brazil, and other places in South America? After all they need the jobs, right? http://www.examiner.com/finance-examiner-in-national/obama-to-brazil-we-will-buy-your-oil-after-giving-you-2-billion-to-drill-it http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/energy/oilandgas/8393292/Obama-says-US-to-be-major-purchaser-of-Brazilian-oil.html
  15. Well these government jobs aren't safe. Sorry I could only find the information on the real news site, FOX. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/07/08/navy-to-cut-jobs-amid-recession-driven-sailor-surplus/ With more sailors staying in the military amid a slumping economic recovery, the U.S. Navy is taking the unprecedented step of firing low-ranking petty officers to help rein in spending. The Navy plans to let go of 3,000 young sailors after economic uncertainty put the service in the unusual position of having a manpower surplus. Read more: http://www.foxnews.co
  16. I use more coupons, and look for sales much more then I did before this "recovery." I think that is why you see more of those coupon shows, and websites. People who didn't have to do sales and coupons are now doing it. I think it's a sign of the times.
  17. OK. I say let's get together and have a party. Why? Why not?
  18. Yesterday I would've let you use mine. But, today I think I'll keep him. Really though if you do need help he can help you out. He's really good at all those maintenance type things.
