While I do strongly support 2nd amendment rights, something has to be done about these kinds of assault weapons on our streets. Don't think for a moment that our enemies won't conduct a copy cat attack on a big crowd (church services, parades, new years eve celebration, ball stadiums, concerts, etc. ) It's not a matter "if" a copycat is going to strike, but "when". From what we can tell, most of these shootings aren't radical islamist, but homegrown anti-government whackos.

The fair was totally awesome...very crowded though and it was a bit warm. My wife still refuses to ride the Ferris Wheel because shes scared of heights, but the carousel was a ton of fun, the food was awesome and there was a good time by all. I enjoy our national parks, in 2019, we are planning on going up into The Badlands in South Dakota and over to the Grand Tetons in Yellowstone in Montana and Wyoming. We did go into the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and it was fabulous.

We walked up the trailhead to Juney Whank Falls and it was absolutely beautiful. It won't be long until fall will fill the air, the leaves will start changing and the mountains will really show their beauty. If you want to get away for a weekend, I'd suggest Deep Creek Campground near Bryson City, NC. There are plenty of campgrounds in the area and it's less crowded than going up to Gatlinburg. There are three fairly easy trails, Juney Whank, Toms Branch and Indian Creek Falls. The older I get the more I enjoy turning off the TV, going camping, taking a hike and enjoying nature. I

I do like to watch Monday Night Football. This evening I couldn't take her screeching voice any longer and I had to tune out of the 2nd game tonight with the Broncos and the Chargers. It's beyond politically correct to have female announcers in the st place, but "C'mon man....get her away from football and let her announce a tennis match or maybe women's golf. But football? Nope. I ain't gonna watch.
