  1. Ooh! Thanks for all the info! Thinking of going some time next week if the weather does what the forecast says!
  2. May be going to Rome soon and was interested in seeing the eagle nest (and hopefully an eagle). Has anyone been and if so - where do you park and how hard/easy is it to get to where the eagles are? Also, it sounds like you can go to see them while school is going on - is this correct? Thx in advance!
  3. B9 arrived sometime early this morning! So cute!!!!
  4. I believe he is autistic or on the spectrum. Either that, or having been sheltered the way he was - he is not use to being around other people or being interviewed.
  5. The sitter is from the Cobb area. She not only did that to Lucky, but had also adopted a blind dog named Simpson. She supposedly Is currently in Kennestone after trying to commit suicide because her boyfriend broke up with her. Hopefully, they will charge her soon.
  6. The hubby is having a problem with one of his eyes (feels like something is in it, but doesn't seem to be anything there). Was wondering if anyone could recommend an opthamologist in the local area (or not too far out of the county). Thanks in advance.
  7. If I'm not mistaken that was also the year that the Klan tried to participate in the Dallas Christmas Parade with plans for a float or banner that said "Dreaming of a White Christmas." There was period of time there when Lanzo was inviting various groups to hold rallies out at his place. KKK, Skinheads and some other group. Then - rumor had it - he invited the Black Panthers who found out that he had previously invited the other groups and that supposedly put a stop to that (him inviting controversial groups). He is also the one that wanted to get beer at his restaurant, but when Paul
  8. The hubby heard the big boom too. We are near McDonald's on 61. Said he heard police sirens right afterwards.
  9. I *think* he will be found guilty too, but I really don't think it is the evidence that will convict him. I think the jury will find him guilty based on the fact that he didn't "act" like a father that had just lost his son. The problem with that is that - what is normal for one person may not be normal for another. Kind of like laughing at a funeral. It's not appropriate, but there are a few people that tend to do that when faced with death or a stressful situation. That being said - I believe he is a sociopath and was convinced he would get away with it.
  10. It sounded like he had a very flexible schedule and could pretty much do whatever he wanted. The Prosecutor said it was not uncommon for him to come in late and leave early, so guess texts weren't an issue either.
  11. It's on Sleepy Hollow Road in Powder Springs. sleepyhollowtrees.com
  12. Has anyone ever been to the Sleepy Hollow corn maze in Powder Springs? Apparently, they mostly sell Christmas trees, but have expanded to a pumpkin patch and corn maze over the last couple of years. We did the Carlton Farms corn maze last year, which was very nice, but wanted to try another one in a couple of weeks just to see something different,if there is another good corn maze nearby.
  13. I have the CBS one taped, but saw some of the other one (another channel). The analysts on that one ruled out Burke because they say that a paintbrush and rope were used to make a pretty sophisticated choking device and that Burke was too young to have been able to figure out how to construct it. (Using the paintbrush you could decrease/increase the amount of pressure applied with the rope - they likened it to the type of bonds someone might use to choke and release a partner during sex.
  14. In the year 2036.... Teacher: Okay, class that concludes the history of 2015. Now, if you'll turn your attention to your monitor, we'll begin covering the history of 2017. Student: (raises hand) What about 2016? Teacher: We don't discuss that year......
  15. They are saying the metal was a clamp for a catheter ( helps hold the bag to the strap or something).
  16. Do you call ahead an order or just show up? Do you have directions and time of event? Thx!
  17. Angie"s list and Kudzu if it's still around. Maybe Yelp?
  18. Thank you! I don't travel that way often, but might be worth a trip. I drink it whenever I feel like I'm getting a cold or sinus infection and it really helps! (Filled with vitamin C!)
  19. If someone goes there can you check and see if the have Korean Citron Honey Tea for me? It's in a jar and looks like orange marmalade. I've been ordering it online, but it would be nice to be able to just pick it up. Thx!
  20. Bwahahaha - may want to think up a new hashtag. Look up the slang for Johnson.
  21. I like Gingrich, but not as VP. All those skeletons he has stuffed in the closet would have started falling out again.
  22. Yes, I believe it was. From what I read and heard about her, she would have been a strong asset to his campaign.
  23. I was hoping that he would go with the governor that is a woman...can't recall her name, but she gave the rebuttal speech a few years ago after the State of the Union address. She was in the military and I think served in Iraq. I'm not for her because she is a woman, but because I think it would give his ticket a better balance than his ticket being two older white guys. Plus, she has the military experience which I think would be a big help when issues come up.
  24. Basically....yes. You look at your phone and when you get near one you can turn your camera on and then you see it in front of you through your phone. The phone tells you when you are close to them. They are placed by GPS coordinates by the game makers. You "throw"'Pokeballs"'at them to catch them. The idea is to collect them and increase your score. Kind of like geocaching - the payoff is finding them.
  25. Thanks! Tell her there is suppose to be one at the Maude P Ragsdale library in Hiram.
