  1. I don't know if they still do it, but some of the older pharmacies/medical supply places use to rent you a pair (it was like $25 or something like that). The hubby had to do that when he broke a bone in his ankle one time.
  2. We appear to have lost our giant rosemary bush. I'm wondering if I cut it back if it might sprout out, but I fear it is gone.
  3. Doctor Edward Spilker. He is near Lost Mountain.
  4. My mother and grandmother use to make a rhubarb torte, which had the consistency of a lemon pie, but the tartness of the rhubarb and then a crispy crust on top.
  5. Yep, Doctor Laur is great!
  6. Bea seems kind of bored today - she is pecking around on one of the branches.
  7. Here ya go. I looked into them when my Dad was homebound, but he passed before I ever got it all set up. http://www.visitingangels.com/powdersprings/home
  8. For those now also following the bluebirds --- there are now THREE eggs, but I have yet to actually have seen any birds. lol
  9. The Berry College Eagle Facebook page says that the Mama came back earlier today. Wish she would come back now - the poor eaglet must be cold in that nest all by herself.
  10. lol...that was my first thought. That being said....many years ago I worked at a place where someone would run down to the hospital on Sunday morning and get everyone a bacon and egg biscuit. The biscuit was huge and the bacon was always crispy while the eggs were scrambled perfectly (I think someone called them catfish biscuits because of their size).
  11. We ordered one for my Dad's television right from the manufacturer, which was Toshiba. It arrived in a couple of days.
  12. You should try being a writer and see the kind of stuff that follows you after you do research for an article . I recently wrote a blog post about how heroin is becoming an epidemic in Wisconsin. I now get a bunch of Rehab stuff following me around.
  13. I feel kind of guilty about it now because I am trying to take a more Zen approach to life, but you can fill an empty dish soap bottle with Sevin Dust and squirt it into the holes. The bee will fly out and return to their colony (they lay eggs in the bored out wood and apparently live elsewhere...) and the dust kills the colony.
  14. 770-445-4444 if it doesn't work out...
  15. Tried to take a look, but Mom is hiding all three from the camera. From the sound of the video - she must be very close to a busy road.
  16. I think it must have come off the traffic alerts because I got emails about it, but no texts and I have the weather alerts on my iPhone.
  17. I work from home and we had a similar problem because of how far our house sits off the road. I use DSL from AT&T for Internet and haven't had any problems. I'm not even on the highest DSL plan (we have the mid-tier plan) and even with multiple tabs open - there is almost no lag time.
  18. 4...3....isn't it all the same? I still haven't seen 2....hoping to catch it in the Redbox soon.
  19. HG 4 was also filming in Rockmart a couple of months ago, so I don't think location is the actual problem.
  20. Unfortunately, she wasn't available either. She was my third choice. :-(
  21. Well, I tried to get in to see Parks or Vicks, but they have no appointments available until April. I've ended up with an appointment to see a Dr Nino in Douglasville (also comes to Austell). Has anyone ever heard of him?
  22. Was wondering if anyone could recommend an ENT in the Paulding area. Preferably, someone in the Wellstar network.
  23. Friend did some research. It is selling in Canada and other countries for around $300. I wonder if insurance covers it?
  24. I'm reading this on my phone and when I saw the word doomsday I thought you were going to say that it amazed you that no one had suggested that they were lifted up while the rest of us were left behind.
