From experience, you have to act like the alpha. This site has some good ideas: http://www.canismajor.com/dog/alpha1.html
  3. Great info for those with young children! For the rest of us, a $5.00/ticket movie can be the basis of an inexpensive date night!
  4. I stumbled across it by accident when I checked the schedule. Movies 278 is having $5.00 tickets all day Tuesdays during the month of September. By the lack of a crowd, I assume not many knew about it. 5 of us were able to go see the Time Travelers Wife tonight for a total of $25.00. Not a bad deal. Pubby - maybe you could trade with them. Have them advertise P.com and you give them advertisement there.
  5. Nobody that's read this in the last 5 minutes. . .
  6. Just a thought. If you had washed your car yourself, he wouldn't have to be doing it for you!
  7. It's a lot easier washing a car that's been wet for awhile. It's like pre-soaking a pan before washing it. The dirt comes off quicker and easier. And you don't have to spend a lot of time rinsing it.
  8. I renew over the internet too. I need to go because I bought an old truck and need to transfer title and get a tag.
  9. Does anyone know if the Tag Office is open today (Saturday)?
  10. I listen to them all the time. I have a 1 hour drive each way every day and it keeps me sane.
  11. If you call service because of a problem with your PC, the first thing they tell you to do is reboot. That's the first step to tracking down the problem, and many times it will clear up the problem. Running the water is like rebooting the pc. It's the first step to tracking down the problem. They don't need to send someone out to do that because the homeowner can do it quicker and easier. By doing so, you've now determined that it is not temporary. The next step is to call them back and tell them you followed their instructions and still have the problem.
  12. Unless you get more details from the company, I would suggest to be ready for any style of test. Remember - accuracy is usually just as important as speed. Good Luck!
  13. Good Idea. . . I'll forward this idea to the SO's office in Paulding and the Police Dept in Cobb. I'll make sure you get the credit.
  14. I use the double boiler and it comes out perfect every time. Just shred the cheese, add the milk and stir every few minutes.
  15. I think that's the same ship we're booked on!
  16. With the way some people react to the old polls reappearing, I wonder if the mods could take a few minutes every once in a while and go through the old polls and close them before they're re-activated by a troll.
  17. Hopefully it will be next month when my wife and I go on a 7 night cruise for our 30th wedding anniversary.
  18. We buy that too. If you have a double boiler, it works a lot better and easier than the microwave.
  19. My takes on weather? Some folks will complain that it's too cold, others will tell them this ain't cold, and some will say they wish it were colder. As far as snow, we'll see at least one major run on bread and milk creating shortages at the grocery stores.
